Following is a log of a chat between a newbie and his mentor ... Its about a year old and its totally verified. Everything is kept in the original for except of the names being changed to Mentor and Newbie to maintain the subject`s annonymousity (cause he has grown into a quite estabilished player) .

Mentor: and then you can do lot of things
Newbie: i have some money
Mentor: you can buy some clothes in auction
Newbie: what is the auction?
Newbie: can you lead me there?
Mentor: place where ppl put their things to sell
Newbie: nice
Newbie: where is such one?
Mentor: do you have any teleports
Mentor: ?
Newbie: no i didnt buy any
Newbie: just this gun
Newbie: someone told me its the best gun to start with
Mentor: you cant buy them :D
Mentor: you muust collect them
Newbie: they are lying on the ground?
Newbie: isnt that like tos teal them?
Mentor: hmmm how much peds you have if i can ask....
Newbie: i dont want to be called a thief

Newbie: This is custom-made weapon, based on an original model.

Newbie: hmm nice there is a lot of stuff in my inventory
Mentor: becouse some of your skills are too high to have mentor
Newbie: i bought this avatar on ebay
Newbie: it was quite expensive

Newbie: there is 2 gray guns
Newbie: 2 are just a-3 justifier mk2
Mentor: right click
Newbie: and the last one looks same but has heigher stats
Newbie: and its called almost the same
Mentor: ok press B and equip one
Newbie: its somehow improved or something
Mentor: you can see it's stats
Newbie: nice
Newbie: this one is much better than the normal one
Newbie: ill use this one
Newbie: mam is calling i have to go
Newbie: i will come back later

yeah it was imp mk2 ... and the mentor was a good friend of mine ... that is straight from his friendchat or however the file is called ... but am sorry i ought not to tell the names to anyone ...

I had a disciple of mine that i had only had for about 2 hours, start yelling at me over the chat telling me that i had to give a ton of things to him because i was not helping him out to gain peds, at that point i just dropped him :p
 
he bought a avatar and wasnt aware of the treasure in his inventory? :eek:

Good thing you got to him before someone scammed him for it..

:duh: OMFG !!This is just ...no words for this !! How the heck can you buy something , pay big time money and not know what it's worth ???
I can understand rich player coming in , buying the best gear, wanting to become uber from first day, but paying for something without knowing it's value??
Besides beeing rich he's one lucky bastard lol

You can tell easily by some of the wording he uses

how can u spend that much on ANYTHING and not know what it is?????

note: he mentions his "mam" is calling, wich means hes a kid, still living with his parents, how can he possibly have so much ped to buy the avatar? so theres either a few possibilities, hacking accounts, using stolen cc numbers, or using mom n dads cc without em knowing it, or just plain faking it

or- he's really 30 irl and still lives at home with mom and dad and therefore can afford the "little luxuries" of depositing large sums into game ;)

Funny to read yes, but most certain a faker. People do that all the time. Pretending to be noobs to fool or impress mid-high-end players.
