I'm having trouble actually downloading the client. After getting an error a few times I removed all EU files and tried again. Still no luck. But after reading this I doubt I'll bother. It obviously won't run very well on my machine anyway. Thanks for saving me the time.

Yes, his answer to playing on an 8 year old machine is basically upgrading it! I have a 2 Duo running @ 2.40 ghz, 2 gigs of ram and radeon 2600xt graphics card with 256 mb ram and I can only play it on medium. It looks rubbish.

Can people who are saying the new graphics look great post a screenshot? I'd like to know what it's supposed to look like. It looks a mess on my machine.

I agree with the guy who got mad. Sweating for a noob is no longer a viable avenue into the game with the price at .35 ped as it's now dropped to. I'm sure you can laugh at no new players sticking around too.

On pure entertainment EU would come out lacking. The main entertainment from EU is that it involves real money, and as you say, the possibility of making money. Take that away and EU isn't one of the most attractive MMOs really. It's certainly no better than AO if not poorer in some respects...
