    thanks for the help - I re-downloaded the original directx9 version and the the update ran fine so YAY i am online..standing in my orange jumpsuit..with a gun..and 400 ped...LOST? lolz

    yeah I was with the Drow. I am sad now - game all downloaded and when i launch it tries to update directx9. Which fails everytime...may be a while before i rejoin EU. :(
