I just noticed that my mission log is completely empty, no missions active, none completed, which is..... scary. Not going through all that again

Synchronization chip I. When I use this on someone, I pull a health bar off them and it displays a tab beneath the health bar with a green square that diminishes over time, 4 minutes iirc. After the update, it disappears after a few seconds.
