A Message to Noob Hunters

You over-estimate hunters :p

Might be cos' I'm tired, or might be cos' I'm drunk, but to me, all that stuff you wrote was just a long version of "If you hunt alot, you will gain alot of skills that you can sell"

o_O

You said allot but also nothing :scratch2:

Hunter for profit = unlock high skills and hunt things that loot certain markup. Nothing more to say.

(and yes even with markup hunts you can loose)

You missed out "If you're lucky enough to get a big HoF in your first few weeks" and "If you started 4 years ago".

Oh its enought ot hit a real big HoF in the first year to feel a nice advantage in your progress.

real big = 5 digits at least ;)

Whole lot of words and nothing said lol.

Hunt a lot... wow, thanks for the advice lol ;)

To be honest he didnt even mentioned to hunt alot...

He did, hunt 12 hrs a day u will b worth a lot ;) Flaw in THAT plan tho... that only leaves another 12 hrs for sleep and life lol.

Oh and apperently in 2yrs u learn how to hunt properly... i know ppl who've hunted since EU was PE and still dunno what they are doing lol. You forget a big part Snabble... a person needs intelligence too, not just determination ;)

also... lots of google.

To be real successful hunter requires power to use google... Also lots of luck, and a very good HA. Without 10/10 ha, peds are wasted - I think that's his main point based on the other thread - that and that hunting without armor is ok to do so long as the mob isn't anything above what you find north of twin. +rep for poetry... lol.

Offcourse you can hunt allot, but that dont give you the guarantee you will profit, I know the skills can be worth allot, but if you dont have decent returns from your hunts you can never continue non-stop.

but I think the world of a hunter would compare in real life to being an
awesome thinker under pressure, able to face grueling demands, solve puZzels that are unsolveable, and face sheer hours of focus.
the ability to take mental stress on the levels of life and death situations.
Also the ability face moral questions and having your honesty and morals tested to their limits.

what the hell game are YOU playing :scratch2: puzzles? grueling demands? life and death situations? moral dilemmas? doesn't much sound like Entropia to me

ahh, I kid.. I see you're point though which I really think boils down to that you have to have determination in order to succeed in this game. You have to be willing to pay your dues so-to-speak and in time you will succeed.

admin, plz move to fun-stuff

even in 1 important skill level 60 is gurantee sucess.
Gurantee Success? You've got to be kidding me... LOL. That's like giving a gurantee that the slot machine in a casino will pay you. It just might, but then again, it might not... and if it does, you may just get back 50 cents on the 300.00 that you put in to it.

I think there are more than enough places to hunt...

I think there are more than enough spawns everywhere to hunt without overcrowding... and even if there is overcrowding, big deal... just team up and hunt that way.

In you example about uber hunting next to n00b, n00b should be happy to be there, and just stop wasting ammo and enjoy the uber giving him free evade, or if he runs around in circles, athletics. If nothing else, in situations like that, n00b could get tons of mob to chase him, die, chase him, die, etc. and sort of make a parade of mob and lead them all to one place, causing them to overtake the uber... then in mean time as uber dies and gets frustrated eventually, n00b goes and hunts in the now less dense areas that he drove a lot of mobs from but where new ones are showing up since uber's killing, causing re-spawns back where n00b is.

It's a cyclical thing - the loot pool is.

I think the level you completely forget about loots is not terribly high...Level 499 is max not very high would be level 60 or less in important skills. even in 1 important skill level 60 is gurantee sucess.
Some could easily do 80 or god forbid 100. Do you know how uneconomical you would have to be to lose in the long run with level 100 evade. Uber i know at 60 with all their skills could simply reach 80 or more.. but i think at a certain time you transend to a level of not even being certain if peds even exist at all.

I dont really understand what you are saying but LVL 100 evade is total useless.

Like in the pictures you can see here. You can see that above lvl 25/30 the effectiveness of the profession Evader is minimal as the level climbs.

I was talking about "unlock high expensive skills" that you gain extra, almost for free in the meantime. Compared to when you didnt had the skill, but doing the same. Every skill you unlock produces extra gains in skills. And those you can sell..
