My girlfriend was re-creating her avatar when there was a dip in the server status and she lost her connection. When she logged back in she had a totally random avatar!

This is even worse than before the re-creation opportunity and it's probably going to cost a fair few ped to put right with a beauty specialist.

I got her to send a support case to MA, but I can already guess what it's going to say...

In this case i think you will get a third chance as it was their server that crashed and not for one % your fault you have a miserable Ava now.
They should be able to see this in their logs I suppose, lets just hope they will take the time to do so and not give you a copy/paste answer.

Please let us know how it turns out.

I have faith that MA will see reason -- I'm not positive it will be on the first attempt, though.

Well that a bugger aint it :(

Yeah let us know what the out come is, best of luck ;)

Oh dear :(

I also had a ctd after spending an hour on my new DJ

Fortunately, they put me back at the recreation suit, was annoying starting from scratch again.. but looks like it could have been worse!

Not sure how this could have happened without hitting 'accept' :scratch2:

hope you get it sorted.

i got ctd aswell. but.. Xzion is soon back on hes legs, walking proudly around showing off how strong and manly he is, so do not worry <3

Worked fine for me.
I'm sure MA will give you another chance

Me too I have some problem to recreate my avatar because I leave the game before recreation with low avatar quality, and now I'm still beating to get better quality, I reinstall the game, create a new avatar to change the quality graphic, it's impossible to make a new avatar precisely.

I sent a support to MA Thursday, still waiting. I think I'll recreate like I can with low graphic and go to see face specialist :mad::mad:

Yes that happened to me as well. 40 minutes into creating Konve I crashed and had to start all over again. Fortunately I discovered a third slider for most settings, though. And the arrows to switch face etc.

When I got around to my 2nd recreation I knew I wasn't seeing all the effects so I put in the order to my husband that I MUST have a new gfx card. So while I wait on it (he says it should be here this week sometime) I've borrowed a card from a friend. I've found that now all the sliders and buttons do something.. however subtle the change might be. For instance, the setting that is next to skin color.. I forget the name of it, skin luminosity (edit... skin Brilliance :) ) or something, affects the highlights on the skin. This was completely invisible to me with my old card, as was the buttons that change the face detail, that are on the face skin control. The buttons that are on each side are obvious, they change the actual skin, while the buttons on the top and bottom add some subtle details.. the way the eyelids wrinkle and such.

So if you have a card that is up to showing everything, take your time and play with ALL the buttons and sliders. They all do have some effect.. though it might not be very noticeable if you aren't really paying attention.

I too crashed, twice, during my re-recreation.. but by that time I was familiar enough with the controls and how I wanted them that it was pretty easy to get back to where I was.

One tip I can give, when you are working on your face, the cheeks and jaw, etc.. it's best to do so with no hair so you can see what you are doing.
