Can you replace a Gold card Reader's battery?

I somehow managed to leave my gold card in the reader for 9 hours (it involves a 10 hour shift at work and being exhausted yet addicted). It still works for now, but its gunna randomly die soon. Can I take it to a jewelery store and have them replace that battery in it or what? Or am I eventually gunna hafta wait weeks to log in to my account while MA sends a new reader?

shouldnt be a problem to replace the battery.

Yes you can just open the small screws on the back and just open and change it so it shouldnt be any problem for you or the clock store you go to.
