Does EU still copy between PC's?

Before VU10 you could just stick the main EU folder onto some storage media and transfer it to another PC, only having to create your own shortcut to ClientLoader.exe. Is this still the case?

p.s. I'm not actually moving it to another PC, but replacing my main harddrive.

p.p.s. I remember something about making sure C++ is updated.
 
In short .... yes

I've done it a few times after the recent download fiascos but it hasn't always worked whereas previously I never had a problem with it.
 
I run EU off a external HDD, and it works fine.
 
I think it should work, i have recently formatted the partition with my OS on it and installed win7 and everything, entropia was on other partition and is still working.
 
i copied it onto several computers and it works fine. i did not install it previously on them. just use the copied folder.
 
Ok cool, guess I can just try, knowing that it probably will work hehe.
If not I've got a race to redownload before FoF! :eek:
 
Did it 2 days ago and worked fine.

Installed to the drive, but I don't think it would make difference. If the files are all there there should be no problem.

Everything's cool. Installed "C++ 2005 redistributable" and also had to install directX 9 over the top of 11 to add some system dll's that EU wanted.
