On a more serious note, I think it is "Add to Ignore List" under the poster's profile.
Never tried to ignore someone here, so can't say for sure.

It is exactly where you said. Click through to view the individual's profile and its the 3rd option below their photo.
When you ignore someone there is still the option to view an individual post that the ignored person has made. The option doesn't make them invisible, just their words.
