Gastorix are considered allied with diverse birds, such as the Berycled.
Measuring about 1.75 meters, this Calypsian creatures are predominantly scavengers, omnivores and even herbivores. Because of the various types of food, in time, these birds evolve to larger and larger sizes and thus in their ability to fly. Because of their large fat body and weak defenses, these creatures turned to be the favorite food of the big Calypsian predators such as the Atrox.

well the name seems to be a mix of names of comic characters from that general area: Gaston (Belgian) and Asterix (French)

Gastorix rather looks like huge mutant Turp. but yeah, nice.

I used Spore for the final build up of the creature and Photoshop CS3 for the final touches (coloring/feathers/nose/tail/etc)

Really nice design. Don't want to spoil it but were mobs made with Spore creature creator not allowed? I hope you will compete to becausse it is a nice design.
