Usually when you puke you kinda skip your mouth as it just comes right out.
This is when it doesn't really leave your mouth do to lack of quantity and velocity.

OK, if you have your lips closed the vomit could stop in your mouth, hence throwing up and it stopping in your mouth.

Not quite sure what in that picture would illicit such a response.
