I know taming's not back, and likely won't be for a while... but... SKILLING Whip on Puny mobs is actually pretty fun! I decided to do a few of the PA n00b quests, and found that I love swunting with my UL whip and no armor. Since it does so little damage, these mobs are awesome for skilling up on whip! The little beach reminds a lot of the way the beach north of Argus used to be pre view 10, but the cost here is much, much lower!

Mastermesh I salute you.
Its just what I was enjoying doing.
I believe it to be the best weapon in the field.
Its so slow that you all your skills build up in equal fashion.
Plus you can play for long stretches of time with no repair.
Its fun collecting the whips.
Its the most eco weapon ive used.
Ive not done the math but i can tell you my pockets are full with just a few hunts.
Later down the road ill get to collect pets and sell them too.
For now i scan-sweat-and whip.
I can see the PA skyline beond pink flower trees. Its the best hunting ive had in any online world.
Its been worth the wait.
I have a pet in my bag. Hes not allowed out yet but maybe soon.

I also use an UL whip while swunting punys, great fun for a low cost
