sell? might per cld will drop to 500ped.
anyone consider about it?

If it drops to 500ped each, then I will deffo consider buying some at that point.

If payouts are that low the price of a CLD will probably drop to 300-500 peds.
That's the thing about 'investing', prices can go up and they can go down.

Personally i don't think they'll reach 1 ped a week, maybe 2 peds a week if the other planets seriously outperform calypso, and another planet becomes the 'trade hub' of the universe. But i don't see this happening in the next few years.

We don't have to worry about what would happen below 1ped/week, because the whole system would collapse long before that. 1 ped/week per CLD would mean that Calypso brought only 12000$ income to MA and 6000$ to Caly Team for that week, hardly enough to pay even for servers, let alone the wages.

And that, is the best thing about having CLDs. ^^ They are almost as directly an investment into EU as PEDs are. (At the current price set by MA, not by the players ofc.)

You take for granted that Calypso will always be the superior planet. In the future we could have more than half the players on other planets, so the CLD ROI could be much lower, but MA would still get the money they needed from other planets.

If it drops to 500ped, that means:
- revenue from Collapso dropped catastrophically, that means:
- almost no one decaying/playing, that means:
- you will deffo consider to runaway with all your crap, but that means:

it's too late.

Every player on Calypso could leave to another planet, leaving Calypso empty completely and we would still get 1 ped+ a week.

Only if every player quit, started a new avatar on another planet would CLD would be worthless.

Good post! What would you say is the crunch point on survival then?
3 ped/week per CLD would mean that Calypso brought $144,000 income to MA and $72,000 to Caly Team over one month.
I'd assume that that is still doable, maybe more so for MA wishing to keep its income alive.
At the moment we are still well above that mark, even though payouts have fallen.

The next six months or so will be important for me, to see if other PPs and semi-PPs eat away at the Caly player base and how much revenue still comes in via Caly-borns elsewhere in the universe.
It will also be important to see if events can be anything other than unintended mayhem in the future!

Price of CLD won't drop to that level as long majority of players buying them have no clue about economy in general.

What we see now is people buying CLD's looking only at their previous price. So far price was only rising so most of ppl was thinking (corectly) that they are doing good investment. It's typical behavior on new markets being nought but "fresh" investors. It is lasting till 1st major price corection when emotions start causing panic and masive sell outs make price only lower. We saw that already in this game with uber gear in years 2007-2010. Ppl were buying it just to it's groving price not usefull atributes ( wchich was not enought to justify price anyway )

What most of today CLD's buyers is not doing is looking at their value vs. time gains. Ppl not realising they have to wait over 8 years to get their CLD's money back. They not realise that every decline in CLD's price cause them loss wchich need additional time to being recupe before thay can note any profit. AT some price level some investors will have to wait just to get their initial money back

8 years and more is very long in RL. In gaming industry it is whole epoch. More time pass , more thing may happen.

If you invest in CLD's considering thing mentioned above u are lucky to be in minority of investors who have any clue. That make your investment more safe than others.

And remember people - unless you have your money in your hand, you do not own it. ;)
