Hello everyone..

Reminder: GOLD CARD IS THE BEST SECURITY YOU CAN GET :)
but that doesn't count for other places.. like e-mails/internet banks e.t.c

To prevent further ''script kiddie'' actions on your info & PC, or if you are unsure about your PC's security... then here is a link for ardamax keylogger remover. (link is safe... don't worry)
http://gamesworld.ucoz.net/aklremover.rar
Though, this remover works only for ardamax keylogger...
I keep it on my desktop at all times... just to make sure, my PC ain't F-ed up

How to use..

1. Extract this file to your desktop
2. check all 3 boxes (here's image)
akl.jpg

3. and click remove ...

If you have AK on your PC, it will be removed.

I hope this tool will get useful for someone.

Has it ever removed anything from your pc?
Thanks for the good intention to help others!:)

A direct link to a program is very convenient,
but knowledge is more empowering so a quick googling shows this
http://www.spywareremove.com/removeArdamaxKeylogger.html

Sadly its only one of many keyloggers out there.
As always the most dangerous trojans/viruses are the unknown ones,
else a good virus scanner helps with the known stuff usually.

are those better than spybot search and destroy?
If so what makes it better?

Or the known ones which get not detected:

Never feel secure, only trust knwon sources, allways wear your tinfoil hat and allways know where your towel is :D

I can make a very good keylogger in 15 minutes. And i think many can do.So.. you just have to protect yourself from installing unknow programs in your PC.

SpyBot Serch & Destroy. google it ! :)

If you know you have a keylogger, and want to remove it, make a copy of all your documents, and then format the harddrive and reinstall windows and all programs properly. That means
first windows (latest version possible like SP2 or 3 for your windows), then drivers so you can reach internet, then fully update windows using microsoft update
After that, the rest of the drivers, and anti-virus, the rest of the programs, and put back your documents.

Why do all this? because as soon as you do have a virus/keylogger/etc, it is not your computer anymore, and you can not know what else has been installed by the controllers of your computer. The only reason why you still can use it, is because the people making such things want to use your computer for their own purposes and they can't if you can't use it either. So, you have to take back the control.

Yes... sadly, it is ..
but...
Not all keyloggers can be used to send logs to FTP ..
So, ardamax keylogger is the most common used logger arround internet...
Easy to use, easy to get caught :)
People without proper scripting/crypting/HEX'ing skills won't make a good logger... thus making antiviruses recognize those looggers..
But if someone manages to remove that loggers signature from AV's database... then your computer might be infected even without you knowing it..

So thats why I advise to use that AKL remover (or to keep it somewhere in your PC for security reasons)

From an I.T. perspective, i've used http://www.malwarebytes.org several times and it's found several malware/virus/trojans/etc which Spybot hasn't.

Backing up Doc's then re-formatting, good idea. My suggestion, grab an external HDD & place all your sensitive data (financial/pictures/documents/etc) on that drive; in case of re-format no need to worry since their off-pc.

Don't forget your Favorites, one file i always back up; never know when you'll need that late night porn site you have hidden 5 folder levels deep in the Churches favorites folder.

Just a few tips on safety.

Be certain to allways mantain your antivirus/firewall/antyspyware software updated and running all the time.

Never download/run anything from unknown sources or enter suspicious websites.

Do not use unknown USB memories/CD-DVDs in your PC without doing a full antivirus scan on them.

Don't use Outlook or another Mail browser in your PC. It is a lot safer to use the web based e-mail accounts.

Perform virus/malaware scans to your hardrives once a week (just schedule them to happen at a time when you are not busy with the PC).

Personally I allways have runing nod32 antivirus, Outpost firewall, Spybot Search & Destroy and Unhackme (anti-Rootkits), and use Malwarebyte's Antimalware and Hijack This frecuently to detect any possible threats. And ocasionally run kaspersky online scanner :D.

And I still dont feel safe enough... You can never be too safe.

Trust no one.

Remember that trojans can stay undetected for days. And meanwhile that time, be injected to processes and set a startup key. For as register or winlogon.exe.

Therefore, as you said, it's important to scan the computer aswell, not just have antivirus on :)

Thanks, some of these I didn't have or wasn't aware of, I appreciate it!
RE: Spybot S&D - I use this, but I am a firm believer in using multiple softwares of the same school. As posted previously, often times you'll find that your fav anti-<enterbadstuffnamehere> software has missed the odd <enterbadstuffnamehere> and can be picked up by other softwares that may not pick up <enterbadstuffnamehere> that your fav one could.
2 heads are better than one, so to speak ;)
