Maximum stats for a disciple?

As of right now, I don't have a mentor. I have a rifle skill level of 171 and my standings are:
1- Unskilled Laser Sniper
2- Unskilled BLP Sniper
3- Mediocre Gauss Sniper

Is it still possible for me to get a mentor? or is there some sort of imposed restriction for disciples.

you are far to high
max prof standing is newbie, or maybe inept
but you are much too skilled for a mentor
too late to get one, you waited too long

edit, i think level 20-40 in rifle is too high already

"Unskilled" means you are at least 110 in a skill linked to a profession. The profession arrives always a bit after, meaning you are actually more than 110 in those professions...

"110" is the level required to be able to BE A Mentor (unless this changed)...

= You are not able to be a disciple
