Melee as a way to save PEDs?

Hey guys, very new player here. So when I first started I thought that using a melee weapon would allow me to save on bullets and to have only repairs to pay, but seems that's not how it works? Don't know how reliable this site is but I was reading this article

and wondering if it might still be cheaper than guns after all. Your thoughts?

My thought is the whole reason of your post is the referal link .
But anyway, melee has its benefits but it's not cheaper, the massive decay makes it cost the same as guns.

Too bad, would have been nice to save a bit of PEDs. T is costly!

Over time it will allow you to get higher evade levels since you'll get hit more times than the avatar with the gun since you have to get in closer.... and take more hits, but that's about it...

Melee also gives more HP skills (which are way more valuable) and you can use the life leech amp along with damage amp, this makes melee much superior to guns imo. Since you are not hunting punies, mobs will always end up in your face anyway!Also all armor decay goes into loot now...
