Ok some of you liit ubah players maby already thought of it...

We all know there are alot of theories in mining, Now at Club Neverdie at the domes.. why not gather a few miner different skills and so on...

and maby get some answers.. i mean its at a limited area.. maby easier to get some answers that way...

but what do i know =)
 
Did i understand you right? you want to gather severall miners all over Calypso to discuss the rumors and theories they use/believe when mining? that would end up in a HUGE argue ;)
 
this could be a good idea, BUT.

- right before the VU (so before lanching station), largest mining hof was 450
- in the station appearad some new ores, logical, with some tt value
- everybody said that in the station deposits are scarced but more valuable

so, my opinion is that MA "artificially" increased the value in space resort to make it popular, so conclusions made on space wouldn't be apliable on calypso.

I'm a member of Project Asylum Corp.

A corperation with skilled miners. Myself i got around 2k in mining and 1k prosp.

I did 100 bombs there today.

out of 100 bombs you know what i got? 1 ample and 1 medium .... 2 deposits on 100 bombs .... yeah i know the whole thing "you-don't-have-much-range-but-instead-higher-chance-of-finding-good-stuff" is a nice idea. But it clearly doesn't work, at least not for me. A man of my economy standards , this hit very hard.

But it's really bugged right now ...... like everything new that MA presents. I DON'T recommend mining there at all at this time.
 
What i really ment was.. depth / disposit and so on depending on skills etc..

blah i need to practice more english.. :p
 
I heard that any else than TT finders are bugged there - or so it seems, maybe not but it stands for a try
 
I mined the place a lot in my standards the last few days. And I think it works quite well this way. It is a greater risk to mine there no argue about that but u also get more when u find. I have perhaps dropped probes and bombs for 1500 to 2000 ped by now and I estimate (time cunsuming :) ) I have a total return in 85-90% tt value and thats ok by me :). One global though on 175 that helped some. Spawn seem to be a bit weird up there though. Quick at least. Smallest found enmatter is small and ore is medium.

My equipment is of 105 and om 105 , mf 103 md104. Skills soon 3k mining and soon 1800 pros. Drilling aprox 1900 and survey close to 1k
Equipment works fine for me at least.

Hmm there are a lot of ppl mining already so to make a good reasearch we would have to close the dome for other (meaning some with big gun guarding entrance). There are to mob free zones that schould work fine for this. nr 6 (mob free) is perhaps most friendly to miners, at least to me.

but how come i failed so badly! .. 200 ped bombs, 0% return ..... i mean 0%!!!
 
hmm I donnu, walked behind me pehaps... I had a go with 70 bombs with no hit as well and got two medium with my 30 other bombs. 18 ped out of 100. no good. But on the other hand next round compensated that.

Enmatter seem to be a bit better in general up there.
We all have our bad runs but we keep trying. U have probably exsperienced worse mining some time.

After my bad run I changed tactics to not do both types of mining but instead consentrate on one at a time in same dome. I walk 8 sec.

I try to look it like this. Because deposits are bigger and fewer we should probably look at a 100 bomb run up there as a 10 bomb run down on calypso.

I know I like it up there but perhaps I end up broke.

Well my runs up there was really wierd, the first day it opened i was up there right away and got 140% back the first day :D

The second day i got maybe 30% back at the most :(. Ohh and i mined with TT stuff the first day and 102 the other day :confused:

I Max the 102 gear so i should be able to find more or atleast the same.

So i wont go back up there for a while. :rolleyes:
 
first day
Ore 1 run 150 bomb and got 0% back
Mater 4 run 300 probe each and got total ~100% back
second day
Ore 2 run 150 bomb each and got ~100% back for first run ~20% second
Mater 6 run 300 probe each and got total ~100% back

p.s.Mined with MF-105,OD-105.... skills Mater 1k,2k Ore 1.5k, 2.5k ....Geology 1k

So what do you think is it a casino or is there some logic way to mine cnd with profit? And do you think you gain more if you do bigger runs like 400ped on each.

Ohh and is there narc and garcen up there? Havent found any of those myself.
 
I only do ores, but I was able to find some narc in domes 14 and 18

Im skilling on mph:s latelly so if there is narc and garc up there ill go there and craft so miners can get their stuff sold up there.

Havent found ares yet but pearlsand and solis is easy to find :D
 
Would be useful to have a list of whats been found up there, so people know what to bring with them (or pay transport costs for)
