A caching script has been set up on the London MyTwoPecs.com server to start storing
copies of graphs it retrieves from the graph farm. I have allowed the graph sampler
to show graphs as far back as June 2005. The current month will automatically be
updated once a day using live data.

Any suggestions to improvements (be it to the display of data, or to the look-and-feel
of graphs, is very welcome and will be much appreviated. Please post on this thread
regarding).

Notes
The graph sampler has been tested for Internet Explorer and FireFox. I must assume
that Netscape will automatically work as well.

Some might notice a period two weeks ago (on the August graph) when there was no
movement on the indicators. The problem was resolved. It is not important to
the development time to catch the missing period right now, but it will be applied
in the near future.

Please remember, these graphs are cached daily. They are effectively copies of the
graphs available in the private beta. Therefore, they are subject to change without
notice.

For today, and perhaps tomorrow, I will not create links from the current pages on the
MyTwoPecs.com site to the graphs. I felt it necessary to give search engines a delay
in getting to the graphics. I need to still work on having proper alt tags and
descriptions of graphs if possible.

oh damn  very nice work man  it would cool if ma would put this stuff in the stock exchange in hades :D
+rep

i really love your job :)

graphic is something i asked to roulette the first time she made her site :)

just 1 little coment , can you make 2 pack for material and paint ?
for me it looks like if enmatter was with ore.

Oh yeah... I forgot to add that. These items are basically all the items featured on the market ticker, plus some oddities I thought may prove interesting.

I want to remove some of the ores though (those that hardly ever move) and I'll replace it with a few good materials. I'll calculate how much heavier it would be to add extra graphs ontop of the the current amount.

If you have any specific materials, please give me a shortlist to aim for :)

Awesome!! +Rep indeed. (When i have spread it  )

better wait with doing that (removing ores) because we dont know if they might be used alot in next VU.

ofc, im a total noob in that section

Oh no, sor, didn't mean that. :)

All items in game must be tracked, even if no one buys Rugaritz for a year, it needs to be recorded.

I meant that I'll drop them from the sampler, it's inefficient to my bandwidth usage if I have the sampler transfer graphs that never move. Once the public beta is up, that will not be a problem, as graphs will be built on that server.

Checked Oil and saw how real the economy connects with the real one :D

Awesome work! Rep added.

Could you add Molisk stuff to it?

FANTASTIC as usual Obselov. I'm running out of compliments. I hope Marco sees your posts and the potential your work has for the in-game markets.

Two interface suggestions (I am a tech writer in a Usability department):

-The three red colors you use are too similar-looking. I suggest you use red, blue, and green, or something like that to make each time period (last 10, last 50, last 200) stand out more.

-Don't use "Times New Roman" as you did on the "Note" section. All online text should be san-sarifed font, specifically Arial, since serifs just slow down the reader. Your main logo containing Times New Roman is fine though, as it's very nice looking.

Thanks for your comments :)

Yes, we had a similar discussion in the last 24 hours on another forum relating to the colours. It seems that the previous colour items were better than the change I made two days ago. See an example here:

Do you think those colours are distinct enough? The colours the factory use isn't hardcoded, so it can be changed on a whim.

As to the choice of [what wasn't Times New Roman, but really is] Georgia, it was done intentionally, yet admittedly, the font was chosen late night, as I rushed the page to completion. But, yes, the notes section should have been in a sans-serif type font, especially since the font is so small :) It's not easily readable.

My grandfather (a publisher) had always said that "you must never use more than two fonts on the same document". As a former DTP artist, there's ample room to keep my logo and some headings in this typeface, and keep the majority of the content on a more readable font.

Thanks again for your comments :) Especially now that you've revealed your line of work ^^

Yes :) I'm adjusting the graph samples tonight. I'm removing some (for efficiency) that aren't really exciting right now, and adding a host of items that will be to the benefit of tailors specifically.

An Update

Over the weekend, I had updated some materials to the graph sampler. I've not removed any of the ores, it seemed like splitting hairs to remove the ores while adding more items.

In order of post chronology...

Etopia, does the new list reflect what you had asked? If I'm missing your point, please let me know.

I added both Molisk Tooth and Molisk Enamel Buttons (so much for naming standards, one is plural, the other is not), I didn't know whether I should leave buttons off, or leave tooth off :p (Long live the Molisk Tooth fairy!)

For the moment, I've shied away away from using the three primary colours of light. So I've returned it to the light blue, dark blue and purple lines that the private beta currently sports.

Please ask for any resources that you would like to see on the list, which I may have left out.

In order to add the new items to the drop down lists, I've accidentally broken the layout of the page. I've corrected the layout, but it was merely a visual bug.

You're doing an awesome job with your site, Obs :) Keep up the good work!
