I think that you will get a discovery once you use one of the new 'looted' BP (ie not already in your book, but a new one).
Otherwise, the ' discovery' wouldn't make any sense.

The lvl 2 finder amp in my inventory changed from oa-101. I also had a new lvl 3 finder amp that was a ma-103 amp before the change. My guess is the lvl 1 amp is is the old ma-101?
