Rengen Chips versus FAPs

What skills do MF heal chips increase? The difference in skills could be a deciding factor here. Skills are not only helpful in general for increasing professions, but different skills have different values in terms of chipping out as well.

The main two skills from each type are:

Mindforce Chip:

Bioregenesis - 50% of Prof. --> weekly MU = 8750%
Concentration - 10% of Prof. --> weekly MU = 11155%


FAP:

First Aid -37% of Prof. --> weekly MU = 3125%
Anatomy - 13% of Prof --> weekly MU = 941%


Mindforce is a hot skill right now so those numbers wont hold that high... but to answer your question in its basic form... Mindforce skills are worth more then Medic Skills, but they trade in a lower volume.

If you can afford to skill/chip to lvl31 paramedic where you max the ur125 i see no use in the regen chip... it got worse eco and lower heal/sec.

It would cost me over 5,500 PEDS to chip up to that level from my current lvl 14. I could buy two regen VIIIs with that ;)

hmm how long (how many uses) would it take to earn that money back from the better eco? :D
 
If you want mindforce skills, using the heal chip is better.

If you want paramedic skills, using an eco fap is better.

If saving as much money as possible is the most important thing to you, buy a mod fap :D

UR 125 - 7.001 decay (7.98 decay+MU 114%) 74.3 avg heal/7.98 = 9.3

regen VIII - 7.548decay 55.2 avg heal/7.548 = 7.3

difference 2.0 pec/use

5500/.02 = 275,000 uses or... 233 UR125s :eek:

I forgot that 'hypothetically' I would have payed 2k for the regen VIII...

so 3500/.02 = 175,000 uses or ... 148 UR125s ;)

I just got that number off of Entropedia, which is a bit flawed in that dept.

If its higher then that it just makes my point even more.

Question: Regen chips use TT mind essence which counts as ammo (me thinks), so should we expect our avatars to lose less "decay" and get more of the regen chips "ammo" back in our loots?

You pay less now than you did in VU9.4 for the same amount of dmg, so your returns should reflect this change
