I've been trying for 2 days nwo to acquire some typo and iron but no-one is ever selling them. Is there a major shrotage or something?

Hmm cant log in and check...

though, go to http://www.pe-wiki.info and select locations in the menu. Filter it to tps/cities and check the list below the map for twinpeaks.
