You can use "R" to go forwards ye but not reverse to a starting position... if they are doing this it must be a bot. Unless they are using some bug or feature of the buildings in zychion to "reset" the car itself

Wouldn't they do better to spawn the vehicle on a building edge, let it plummet to the ground, get damage and repair it? That way they save fuel...dumb scripters...

At some points they are not scripting and are active, that is when you show up and talk to them.
But I'd say with 99% certainty that in the way they are doing this they are using a script/bot (call it whatever u like) and that is what makes this a problem!

for what it is good to repair car all day long ? what they gain from it ?

Wouldn't they do better to spawn the vehicle on a building edge, let it plummet to the ground, get damage and repair it? That way they save fuel...dumb scripters...

from my experience, youve got to have a large enough space of flat enough ground with no structures within a certain radius to spawn a vehicle. and as far as ive seen you can't spawn them hanging over a ledge.

I don't care what they gain from it, its the way they are doing it that is the problem.
The use of a 3rd party application that drives the game for you is way out of hand, IMO using a VTOL for hunting is far from in the same league as this offence... and you should know that (hunting bot), why are you so ignorant on this one, usually you come with valid responses all over!

the one than hangs out by twins named "RED" melich or something is not the same person we are talking about here. That person is a trader of ores and is there often. Look in the screen shot for the name of the suspected avatar

Exactly. The person in the Screen shot I posted was alone. ( if not this shot, someone I've seen before) They would drive forward, drive backwards, hop out, repair, hop in and repeat.
So in that case it wasn't just auto-tool because there wasn't one person driving and one person repairing. I tried repairing their vehicle and I could do it sometimes, but only thing that was doing was taking the skill gain away, it didn't stop the person. If you saw it was obvious it was a script, macro, or bot of some type.

It's not really all that big of a deal,

and that is part of the point.
Something obvious MA is taking a blind eye too, but than other things they just up and ban someone.

We all just don't want a game to be all spammy and full of bots (unless maybe they are Droka )

using Vtol for hunting is IMHO a way bigger problem , since it nulify the point to buy armor , and to have skill. it alow everyone to hunt the biggest mobs in game and dont pay armor and fap decay...This is very bad for everyone... it make most of things in game useless...Killing the whole MMO principe of getting your avatar better in order to archive harder task.

If I think about it this way, if the user is active at his computer (watching the game) while his bot is playing for him, then I'd say it might be ok, as long as not using any bug nor gaining advantage over manual users. (for example this would make it possible for disabled ppl to play (not actively play) at the same level as other ppl)

But, when the bot starts to play for you while you're at work/sleep then any bot out there is not ok imo. Being able to play 24/7 without using ingame systems would to me appear to be gaining a great advantage in some areas!

This is good question , because thats where some problem come in....
I am not against bot hunting...IMHO EU is more or less like casino ... why should i be against someone who have monkey at slot machine ?
Problem with bot back in the day , was , it was very very skilled player with best equipement in game , hunting on their own LA a mob who had back then a big TT back potential... all this together , was making those player constant profit avatar ... so by hunting with bot , they was constant profit 24/7 wich tend to deplette loot pool...

Since that day , many things did change in game , and the easy complette profit combo seems to not exist anymore...
so , if there is no weakeness in the game , why should we be against bot hunting?
In other MMO , such things would give a big unfair adavantage to bot hunter since those game are made usual that they gain constant skill and money... but not in EU...skill somehow cost less in auction than to gain yourself , and it should not be possible to "win" always money out of hunting...so , why bother if people like to waste money 24/7 ?

ok if it is as you say then I think mike has the answer to what their advantage would be, constant skill gaining.
I mean sure then it eventually comes down to not being profit, but then a bot would help you faster reach a good amount of skills but then you say it would be cheaper to buy your skills though blah blah blah...



well well, I got your point perfectly now and it makes sense!
personally I don't like the idea of every bot use though

I find it ridiculous that they've been there months with numerous support cases against them, and they haven't been locked yet.

2) You're using an automated bot/script to skill, while you're AFK,
then you have an advantage that people who
1) Only has one avatar, as per the EULA and
2) Not use any 3rd party program that interfere with game playing.

If you only have one avatar, you can't skill this way (easily).
And if you don't have a bot, you can't skill this while being afk (sleeping, eating, whatever). As getting the advantage, having 50 points in intelligence (and 1 in other attributes) pretty much shows it's serious skilling.

Just adding that in this case the problem isn't bug abuse since you're supposed to be able to repair your vehicle and get skills for it. But you are probably not supposed to have a secondary avatar autorepairing the vehicle for you. (Imagine what a repair bot would do in land grab!)

They are using auction for unfair advantage when they sell those skills they gained, and are thusly in direct competition with others who are selling similar skills without cheating.

Actually the vtol thing is less of a problem because the vehicles themselves are a form of armor, or else MA would not have given them a protection rating at all... and besides that they way they worded the vu update with the vtols, the vtols were made to work the way they do work. They were made that way by design. People should not have gotten banned for using them in the way they were designed to be used. It's like saying that people using ghost armor should be banned since they have an unfair advantage vs people with pixie armor or no armor at all.

Understand , and i agree that bot should be ban , its still imho a game mecanic problem if bot can exist..
I dont say i have solution , i just think EU is one or rare game where bot fighting is not the main things to fight.getting rid of exploit and bug abuse is bigger problem imho.Usual , when a bot get an advantage in EU its by exploiting a bug.

I was in those saying Lock or Ban MJ was bad things...this action was just drive by jealousy for his loot and not for fair game.
As for Vtol , i think MA did big mistake designing vehicle that way , and should rethink and rebalance vehicle.i still dont understand for exemple how vehicle , a L item , can be repaired...
It does not mean player should be baned , they didnt do anything wrong, since , as you say , VU cleary say that people can not be atack by mobs in Vtol.

There was a clear reason why they changed the VTOL script so that it does not agro mobs... this was to prevent people with VTOL's creating insane mob trains. Remember the TI hoglo mobtrains

So you cant solve this by just changing the VTOL script to allow agro.

The use of bots however is against the EULA and should be stopped imediately.
