Simple gif maker

Im looking for a simple gif program, pretty much like paint but you can add frames and then select and drag bits for movement etc.

Its gotta be free too, as i want simple. I havent got anything with a paint tool to make gifs, just piece together images.

You got a $3500 program like 3dsmax, but the little gif animator program has to be free...

Anyways, maybe listen to jorael, he made the cool EU smilies we have here, so he prolly knows what he's talking about

Do you have Adobe ImageReady? That's a good gif maker.

use those in combination and you can make beautifull gif images
just seek for a tutorial online and its easy to make one..
