According to the robot intercepts, we are damaging their invasion infrastructure, but only to a point so far (halfway?).

Is it possible that a certain number of avas need to complete the sabotage mission in order for something to happen?
Is that what they mean by "player actions will determine event outcome"?
Will enough avas complete the mission to get the job done?
Should we organize the newest wave of noobs and get them to the crater to help?

Tell us your thoughts ...

Well sabotaged the silos already and killed some more harbingers than this 200 wanted by Briers.
Battle is not over yet, and I really hope the outcome will be nice for mankind.

Nope we will be overun as what I saw the silos wore at .xx last time so not even 1% completed yet. + with this fracking new update system MA totaly screwed me over sothat I cant use the uncaped internet at work to download anymore. Now I have to use 2 months worth of deposits just to download the last update so I wont have the cash to do anything anyway. Another big update like this within 2 months and ill be forced to just say frack it.

I got my Diploma today, Silo 5 was a tough one, I struggle with 10 Harbingers on me. Seems like the tougher ones hang around Silo 5. Anyway after a few revives I got it and went back to PA and got my Diploma.
Camped in the crater now doing the 200 Harbingers. The Drone Elites are fasty nuckers though :)

I agree though, I think there has to be a critical number of Sabotages for the next stage. Interesting though that there are not event item drops yet? We have the Book of the Machine, which is for something? I am hoping a Book of Machine, and some other items can be turned into a new kick ass piece of armour!

I think it's time to offer VTOL assistance to any one doing these sabotage missions. The question is, would I be best of offering my services in PA where the mission is haded out or at Camp Phenix or some other outpost near the crater?

Free flights ofcours, anything to help bring these abominations down.

i think the best place would be the revive north of the crater.

You know, the place where you come to realize you really can't do it on foot or on your car :D

did all crater mission. The loot of the 200 robots was still ..... &%ç&%ç/ (censored) But i know, i be just a milk cow for ma. And maybe the whole crater is a milk cow farm:laugh:

Here's the piece from the last intercept giving an update:

update on human counter offensive
damage level point five eight five

Nothing there about "percent," so that's 0.585 which probably means 58.5% damage level.

So we've made a good start, but from the poll at least it looks like most people jumped on this, or don't want to do it. It will be interesting to see if the weekend brings more action.

Too bad we don't know just how destroying the silos will affect the event outcome (could be for the better or the worse).

I wonder if taking up assault positions to keep robots away from the areas to be sabotaged will help? This would allow other colonists to continue sabotage attempts with less interference from patrolling robots.

I was doing that yesterday between 2 of the silos and saw a couple of colonists give it a go.

Perhaps plan an event within the event. Have ETA (and/or others) organize getting colonists there while assault teams patrol each of the silos. Maybe CRT could cover the path back from outpost?

I did my part! /Starship Troopers

I really wonder if - or to be more precise, I'm afraid that - there will be some kind of final event that will only last for a very short time so many (me) will miss it.

yep got certivicate but no keep the noobs out of that and let them play at their level. Ohh and if u want to get an influence on a MMO world u gotta wait for guild wars 2. I guess MA liked the plans of the GW2 devs and wanted to play along a little but ofc that didn't work. Soo we gotta wait for GW2. :D

That sounds pretty good, Coop!

Anyone want to work this out? Let's deal some whoop-ass on the robots!

I'll see how many Manticore members are interested. From that I can see if we'll work transport, assault, or logistics.

we have them on the ropes.. the question is.. can we hold the line?

update on human counteroffensive
damage level point eight nine three
kernel panic
end of line

With this latest bit of data translated today, here's what we know..

The robots are starting to panic. Seems the 'sabotage missions' are working. and taht the damage has reached a total of 0.893, (89.3%) so I'm thinking that they robots are starting to panic and thus are gettting ready to call in "The Big guns" so to speak (and this goes back to the Charybdis and Hydra tests early this ear..

We're looking at a second generation Charybdis style bot that more than likely will be able to be "Unstoppable" . provided we put aside our differences, and get in there and pummel the crud out of this metal menance.

So folks, it's time to put aside the greed, the complaints, and the whining.. it's time to get your butts in gear, and to get those missions, to shut down the bots once and for all..

After all if folks want Hadeshiem back, or the world to be nearly free of Harbingers, the time to act is now.

(Now as for strategy, here's what I propose):

I suggest that we have a double pronged assault.. One from the north revival, the other from Phoenix, (What is called a Pinscher maneuver). with VTOL pilots at the ready to help assist those who have been killed and revived to get them back into play and into the crater.. (and this is at both locales..)

But the thing is that if we do not respond now, then the bots are going to call in the big guns and then the battle will be reversed..

So know your enemy, and you know yourself..

(So guys, time to buckle down, and strap in, cause this is gonna be an adrenaline rush

I have done the silo missions and even helped a couple of others do it, including a brand new newbie.

I should be completeing the kill 200 mission in the crater as well soon.
Is that enough? I have no idea, lol.

After we fighted them for one month using all our aviable resources and we got tons of "valuable new items" and tousands of new high lvl UL chips we lost interest no ?

All those new valuable items will no doubt drop in the waning moments of "regulation time" of the event plus "overtime" extending past the original deadline. Plan to stay up late tomorrow night

Since I did the early event missions when they came out, I didn't realize the "Spanner in the Works" mission is chained from those earlier missions. To get a noob through the Spanner mission takes:
1. Someone to escort them to one of the pod dropsites for the scouting mission.
2. Someone to take them to Phoenix.
3. Someone to either allow them to finish a harbinger kill, or fly them to crater's center and back to Phoenix for Facing the Enemy.
4. Fly them in to the crater for the 4 investigations for The belly of the Beast mission.
5. Fly them back into crater for the Spanner in the Works mission (likely involves side trips to the northern revive).

Quite some effort, really.

Here's an approach: post here if you are partway through the mission sequence, and would like help completing it.
