It would be amazing to have a fixed pilot gun like a quadwing on the pathfinder/starfinder series. Being a smaller ship that requires less manpower it would make them so much more usable for space hunting etc. Shouldnt upset any pvp balance as the ship are slow moving and would be near imposible to target pirates etc with this gun. It wouls make space hunting so much more fun though and eliminate the physical pain of seat swapping 15x and getting stuck in ship walls, having to relog constantly. We could just hunt and spend peds if you happen to be on briefly or solo :)

Very simple yet awesome suggestion! I vote for this also! :)

Id still like to see something like this added for pilot. Even if its a smaller dmg gun or something. I hope its on the table as an option down the road

Another option could be to simply allow the controll of additional free gunner seats from pilot/co-pilot seat through 'indirect gunning'.
Make it depending on profession levels how many seats can be controlled same time and all it does would be that the avatar chooses a target and the controlled gun turrets would start lining up to it to become rdy for fire.
Autotargetting with multiple gun turrets would need to be much slower then if an actual gunner was in every seat - maybe half the possible tracking speed of a turret (or a quarter tracking speed and higher with higher skill/damage when shooting at another ship through indirect gunning could be applied like mobdamage so it wouldnt be easy or near to impossible to hit specific shipsections this way).->So it would always be better to have real gunners
The targeted ship also should have a visible indication warning on how many gun turrets have lined up to it, so it can move/retreat/'be nice'/or just outrun the tracking speed.

Ya for sure anything like this would be kewl. Id gladly give up 1-2 gunner seats even for a basic fixed pilot gun. Sticky seats would obviously be a problem but hey if yur ships nicely upgraded you only have to deal with it once. When your done!! :)

Even dedicate the top front gun to pilot, remove that seat and relocate top rear gun seat to rear of 3rd floor infront of the blue screens etc at the back there.. then u can also move the front left/right from by pilot seat down with the rest of the seats. possibly leaving more room by pilot seat to get stuck in them and walls less often! :)

Could attach that top front gun to pilot jumbo sized reticle so theres a little movement on it but not much.. wheever you drag that reticle is where u shoot.

since I have control of ship movement u don't need 360 degree shooting.. just turn ship if needed. I think its an incredible idea :)

i really hope MA considers this as an option... would make things so much more fun. the seat swapping is killer for solo skillin

and after all this time just realize it should have been PF/SF series lol.. but im open to MS as well on this =p

This has been on PF/SF owners wish list for years and has been asked for before along with other improvements such as the ability to allow a designated person other then the owner to add people to the ship guest list. MA do seem to be paying more attention to space now so maybe something will happen before we all die of old age :)
