your question doesn't make sense. obviously "everyone" won't put their efd in the fund as they have other uses for it. but the second part of the question makes even less sense as "everyone" would not buy the EFD's ether, but somebody surely would.

very quickly indeed. the growth fund has proven to be more popular then i had guessed. and within one day we are almost to 50% our of first goal.

i don't know for sure but we can do some testing if you would like to post again. - ; P

the % will be used if you wish to withdraw from supporting the fund in PED.

Obviously it would be ludicrous at this point as 5% of 0 is still 0.

You can still withdraw from supporting the fund at anytime by requesting your EFD back.

I have plans to increase the PED value of the fund in game once the EFD Growth Fund starts to generate PED.

this will be 100% transparent to the community as it unfolds.

Well, seeing as EFD have no Intrinsic value, I have nothing to lose by giving away that which is worth noting.

The only question is how much nothing to risk losing?

I have donated several nothings, and will see what happens. I have several more nothings, and if the first donation results in something, I will probably donate the rest of my nothing.

Well you could sell them for a few peds on auction so not totally worthless...
But this sounds like a much more fun use for them :yay:

woot. thanks alh. hopefully the endeavour turns out to be as fruitful as i anticipate.. support has already grown faster then i initially expected. which is a very good sign.

dang it zabler.. i got hit with two efd donations and multiple posts and a +rep all at the same time.. so we'll have to retest yet again.. - ; )

Yah, I made the same mistake! :laugh: For a minute I was wondering, "Why're all these smart ppl apparently giving him their EFD's?" Then I got it. :)

I'm in for 6200, just keeping a few hundred to play the lotto. And I'd +rep but you know, gotta spread some love first. :D

here are the closing numbers for day 2! we didn't quite make it to 50% of our goal but its so close i can taste it.

Added another 450EFD so that my total contribution is 1450EFD so far :D would add more but all the EFD I have in the bank is for a price in a competition I'm hosting here in the forum lol.

And about LATER in the fund history:
Just gotta ask something, will you be able to buy/sell shares in this later?
Say I have 2% of the fund and a friend has 6% of the fund.
I want to have 5% of the fund so I pay him x EFD/PED.
3% of his funds is transfered to me.
Then I have 5% of the fund and he has 3% of the fund.

Planning to make that possible? :rolleyes: if so you would have to write somewhere what the stuff the fund has is worth so that prices for 1% can be set :D

Perhaps the fund size could also be increased in the future, if you find someone else that is thrustworthy that can hold another 500k EFD in his bank for the fund? :rolleyes:



Btw could u add a list where every investor is sorted after the amount of % he/she has?

I would also like to know about how many shares (EFD) 1PED is worth?

Yes we could make this possible the current EFD shareholder would need to send me a PM asking that the EFD Shares be transfered to another name. You would need to work out any compensation for that transfer on your own accord.

Yes its true we will be Limited to 500k Shares (Due to EF Rule #2). Currently the shares have a Value of 1EFD+0PED. this will change in the future as we sell off the EFD Interest for Ped.

Keep in mind this is the first time something like this has been tried, using a Forum based currency to build a Virtual universe based Investment fund.

Once we have our first Ped Generated we would be able to use something like this to determine each shares actual value:

PED+(Ingame Holdings)/Shares = Share Value.

So the first month we are able to sell our interest lets say we get 20ped.

20ped / 500,000 = 0.00004ped

So lets take your shares for an example.

0.00004 x 1450 = 0.058ped

or 5pec (almost 6pec). but for obvious reasons we can't round up as it would devalue others investments by a fraction.

I am aware that currently the EFD has a higher resale value than this.
but your share would have a value of 1EFD+0.00004ped. as it will retain its EFD value while also building a ped value.

(note: those are not actual numbers as we have only sold 292k shares so far and not sold any EFD interest.)

I have already thought about that actually. Due to Forum Rule #2 we would need to select another EFD "Trustee" aside from myself to go over 500k shares (with the %1 model). This would double our EFD interest earning ability. But we would need to collectively (all share holders) decide to modify our initial goal of 500k and up it to 1m and select another Trustee (which would also open us up to more risk and less liquidity). I am unsure if the EF economy would support 1M shares but it is possible based on how quickly we have made it to almost 300k.
