Attention All Aussies/Kiwis/Islanders/Asians

Gday all fellow Australians and those across the water in New Zealand, and around Asia

I would like to put together a comprehensive list of all fair dinkum Australian players and those from New Zealand. This is so I can coordinate social events, competitions and trade networks and offer options of communicating this to these players.

If your a player on the Asian Continent or on any of the many surrounding islands off AUS or NZ and would like to throw your hat in with this venture, then please feel free to drop us your details.

My option serves 2 purposes...allows EF readers to view a current listing of all Australian and New Zealand players and provides some much needed data to Aussie/NZ event organisers on potential players (not viewable by EF readers).

Please reply to register and help us make better events/networking opportunities for all Aussies and New Zealanders.

I want to support both new and existing Australian and New Zealand players with a strong network of communication, opportunities and friendship so I ask you to support me in this aim so we all can make better use of our collective power.

I now many of us are spread throughout many of the top societies and our number is large enough to pose a threat to many and I think its time we started to help ourselves and rise as a force within the game to rival the US and European Dominance. I do not wish to start another society but rather want us to work within our existing social networks to assist our fellow countrymen.

lol, no he's not from the Aussie Tax Office. Although if we say EU is gambling then there are no taxes on gambling wins in Australia, so the tax office doesn't have much interest.

It is a challenge organising events for us, we are totally out for time being at the ass end and other side of the world. Will be good to get more events happening.

As an additional point Bags, it would be worth including our friends in Asia as they work in with time zone for events.

* Normal gaming times: 7am-11pm local time - usually with a break in the middle somewhere. Online most days, depending on RL - most Fridays I work tho.

* Do you prefer solo or team based events? It can be difficult to fit in regular events around my flying. I tend to leave entering til the last minute to ensure I can be available. I havent missed a WoF match yet - but solo events mean others are not reliant on me being available.
* Do you always have regular items for trade? I buy ores/enmatters on CND as a service to miners when the regular traders are not available, so usually have a fair range in storage. Some I use for crafting myself, some I resell.
* Do you always require regular items to buy? Well, oil for the ship ofc - but I mostly buy that from my soc miners, as an incentive
* Would you be interested in in-game opportunities that may require you to pay a subscription with which to help you and others build your skills and equipment while solely based in Australia to protect you under Australian law and give you peace of mind knowing the individuals and who are trustworthy? I'm all for more Aussie stuff and am working away at some projects of my own, so I'll support anything that gets the Aussie community more active as a group.


I do some comments from my observations of past EU activites though:

Paying to enter events - Payment is usually too small to cover prizes, or so large that people can't afford it.

Gaming Times - Most Aussies are going to be available in the evening, but keep in mind the spread of times across the country.

Skills - You'll get people from noob to uber, nothing special about Aussies in this area.

Item Trading - Setting up and running a trade network on anything but a small scale is incredibly hard, time consuming (even with a shop to help with sales), and not terribly profitable for the person doing it considering the amount of time required.

Subscription/Item sharing/rental service - Risky, typically low turnout, needs extremely good leadership (and a lot of money). See H&R circle for a working version.
