No man i m not an uber. U in few weeks, without know nothing about this game, u got a beacon of 600 ped MU.
Me after 3 years, 51 hit profession, phantom, killing hogglo and all mobs on calyspo i got just a 300 ped iron solo and never an HOF.

it is okay. i happens to everyone sometime.

some dude mobtrained several cornacaudas into me and began to kill the mob i had 1st targeted befreo getting hit with all of his. i killed the mobs he gave me and they all were not looters, but the one he killed turned out to be a 750 ped hof :) he was using an unamped opalo (back in the days of tt+0 for a a103) and didn't have a clue as to what was going on. i was kinda sad at the time, but as time has gone on i find it funny.

Dude! Honestly. You are all pissy about this? Wow why don't you just quit then? No one is pulling your arm and making you deposit tospend hours in this game. If your PED/Entertainment value ratio is jacked up then find other entertainment.

the point is:where is fu#$@$% going EU? deposit mean nothing, skills mean nothing, items mean nothing, a noob can do better then u if he is just lucky....this is the point. I dunno why but look more and more and more that dynamic mean casino. No important what u do it s just a roulette. I dunno why it s more and more in this way, maybe because so many...... people already got huge skills and items and now MA to deal with them must dynamic more everything or because in any case this is the best way to make money for MA or boh...... The future don t look nice. Today is me tomorrow maybe is u man, maybe tomorrow u will change idea. Actually i give my contact to the guy and i suggest to pm me for each problems and more important i suggest him to fast join a soc. so i have np with him. All the people in my friend list did better then me about loot, just very few of them are more skilled then me, so at least it s not a news for me this situation since long time. Just it s said. I play this game for the same reasons of u. I love it, sad but true, it don t love me.

The only other real alternative is only folks like Skalman, Mercury, Buzz, xXxSquallxXx, etc. get the really, really, good loots. The mid-lvl players get semi-good stuff sometimes. Beginners don't even get any Vaseline.

How solid would Calypso's economy be then?

Chin up, mate. Honestly, beginners can't loot 200% markup HL12(L)s, or mine Niksarium with decent success, or craft P5as. (yet ;))

These few "trinkets" beginners get do not equal them doing better than you overall. You know that. (unless they understand this universe better than you, then they deserve to do better, yeah?

i got your point and i agree. for this i spend so much time in skilling and more and more less in .... pure fun. But about your sentence:
they cannot loot a HL12 but still can get huge HOF
they cannot mine niksarium but can hit 10k in,lysterium
they cannot make p5 but can hit huge hof whit basic sensor. (and gain skills in craft like in each other profession is always more worst and worst for all noob and md players)
Moreover I use to be very critic with MA cause i think it deserve, but according with the threads that i can found lately in EF is not just me that is a little bit disappointing with MA and with the way it is going. Maybe a little bit less casino, more balancing loot with skill/deposit, more for all official events, and all the other suggestion that u can read in the wish list can help to improve this game. After all this is not the only game with a real cash economy around. The competition is late, but it s not absent . CE2 and new planets will help MA a lot ofc, but the competition will not stay to watch for ever. At the end the game is played by people, without them...... no more game.

I don't got what? Any how I just pointed out that it seems your complaining is a bit much. The bottom fact is that no one forces you to play. Does MA come to your house with a gun and say "Deposit now or else" ? No.

So quote what ever conspiracy theory you want. The bottom line is you are paying for a service, i.g. Entertainment. If you are not getting the entertainment you want then quit and stop complaining.

DR dc yours could be around the corner. his came for now but might never return. some of this game is luck as you know and being right place right time... one thing you have that he never will is the knowledge of what this game was like before many nerfs have taken place. 3 years is a long time. I wish i would of knew what amped opalos were like, or the other things back in the "good times".... you will get a beacon sooner or later or a uber loot just keep at it :D

I agree. It's like the lottery. Someone putting in their numbers for years and years and not getting the BIG one compared to someone who puts in their numbers once in a while and WIN the BIG one.....

All about random..... like RL - making (random) choices ...

Just think of it like kindness - you spread it around and assisted someone new into the game :) (Oh yes there is a EF thread about that too - Kindness)

You'll get no argument from me there. Many of us have voiced our displeasure at things MA has done. Some things they've fixed. Some they've improved, but have a long way to go. Others they seem to ignore completely. (I guess those parts are either beyond their ability to fix atm, and/or they're simply things that go against MA's wishes.)

We all know this universe isn't perfect, mate. However, as I said before, (staying on topic here) n00bs hitting big hofs/ubers is not a flaw. That's actually one thing I may like most about this place. I can't do what Skalman or Buzz does, but I might get lucky one day. N00bs can't do what I do, but maybe one of them will hit it big one day and capitalize on their good fortune.

Personal choice? Lucky breaks, even to those who may not "deserve it"? Different levels of skill, luck and social status?

Doesn't sound too virtual to me.

I'm sorry you got your nerves jangled because some n00b caught a beacon, mate. But of all the things to be upset at MA about, this is not one of them.

I dunno man. At lvl51 i still hadnt recieved a good loot, like pretty much nothing at all. No real reason to get mad about another guys good fortune. Just have to keep trying, and try harder...

Back on topic: If i see these Daikiba young and Snable young Uber-HoFs i often think about quitting the session (not UE entirely, i'm addicted already^^) But then i think, it might happen to me one day ;)

Digit, the man is not complaining about deposits, ped spend etc etc...

He is frustrated about the fact that in this "game" one is never ever sure that ones efforts will be rewarded. DR. has put a lot of time and energy in it and never looted a similar reward. It is NOT about the pedvalue, it is about the rewards you 'might' get in this universe. It is about a more balanced loot distribution, about MA lacking the skills to construct a descent system where players (or participants) are kept motivated.

Inconsistency in effort VS reward is an issue they need to adress.

It is a great game, with huge potential and the future will bring more, better and bigger!:wtg: (if not then we are screwed :laugh:)

If you really think getting all those skills after depositing was not worth it and that EU is not worth it, go ahead and chip out and spend 100% of the withdrawal money on a casino's slot machine or lottery tickets - I'm sure your odds on those are not much different... Actually, they are way different since EU is DYNAMIC and skills do have meaning. Stop complaining because you wasted more peds than you were comfortable wasting. You could have used all those peds doing other things instead of hunting, mining, or crafting you know. Trading is an essential part of the game... so too is sweating... and doing services for others... You paid to play and played. Now enjoy the entertainment money you spent. You chose to do what you did. If you don't like it, maybe change professions?
