Gday All,

Just a note on last years event....even though we had a strong main team, our support team was massive in heart but low than most other countries in numbers. Can I call upon those knew to the game and a proud aussie to get on board and ask what they can do for their country in this time of need. Any time you can put in can make a big difference. If you only make you one event during WOF it all helps but more would be good.

Its a great way to meet other new players as well as the veterans and you will skill and advance better than any other opportunity across a few months. All you need do is drop a post in here and say you are willing to participate and the Team Captain and the members of the aussie team will help steer you into your role....there are no bad roles.

Lets see some show of hands people!

Any thoughts so far on leadership for main and support teams?

I believe it may be better for the captains to be someone with extensive
in-game knowledge (obviously) but perhaps it would also be better for the main hunt team leader not to actually be a team member?
Just a few thoughts to kick off anyway.

Im sure we would all appreciate the opinions of Grrrr and Serica who did such a sterling job last year.

Perhaps a private subforum should be started for the discussion.

2 bad I wont be going this year

WoF was great fun last year, a superbly organised event by Hurricane.

I'm looking forward to doing it again and hopefully improving on last years performance.

I really encourage all Aussies and Kiwi's to get involved and join the fun.

Thanks Bags for taking the initiative and getting the ball rolling on this.

I'd also suggest we open up for regional neighbours who don't enter a team to join us in support. I know a number of countries in Asia didn't enter teams but may wish to get involved and we could use all the help we can get. This event is definately won and lost in the support teams as was shown by Englands fantastic victory last year.

This would be my first WOF ...

Would definitely like to join in some form..

Mate, believe me when I say I was a noob at the start and by the time I finished with the team I felt like a true player.

Team spirit and help is all around and you can bank on the fact that the more there are around you the easier it is for all involved. Even 20 noobs with opalos can do our country's chances a world of good and I dont mind chipping in with looted gear and equipment that I get and I am sure that our community and help as well. A semi decayed piece of mid range armour may be a few ped to me but to the new guys its the difference between dying and staying on the field.

When we get some numbers I can look at crafting some mid level armour pieces that I can with my skills and can donate, trade or exchange at TT prices for those wanting to share in this truly international event.

I cant tell you how good it was last year standing side by side everyone with a sense of purpose and commitment to beating out the game favs. We are always the underdog and we like it that way as we always surprise them! LOL
