Many people just start out buying some weapon and experimenting it to see if it is good. Then eventually, they happen to pick a really bad one, and lose many PED. To prevent others from this, can someone please post a list of weapons(ranged, melee, etc.) that a person should first get and then other weapons in its category that should be bought as an upgrade of your currently owned one, and so on.

Explain why that list, basing off efficiency, repair costs, skills, damage, ammo, speed, etc., and when to buy it. All I know is that a sollomate opalo is better than the TT handgun :(. Also give another list of weapons you shouldn't buy, or easy scamming ones.

And, are amps good? If so, which ones are?

Thats probably subjective. A pack-rat will suggest you get one of everything :D

for amps.
The Omegaton A10x series is all good amps for laser weapons, and the Fi/Ra/Co series for BLP.

There is one thing to remember though.
The amp can max provide 50% dmg of the weapon.

So lets say that you have a gun that makes 16max dmg (at your current skill lvl) then you can put on an amp that makes 8dmg.

If you put on an amp that makes more dmg it will still only make 8dmg but you still have to pay for decay and maby ammo usage for the remaining dmg it can provide on another weapon.

And as others have said, the SIB weapon guide is a great guide of what weapon to get next.

PvP weapons....

Are there certain weapons better for PvP, others better for hunting?

And what about limited weapons, are they good? Why or why not? I heard that limited ones are better for PvP than hunting.

Didn't really know that the answers where on other threads, but feel free to recommend some more.

You betcha! gauge your proposed victims armor well! Armor is very damage specific. Anyway the guide is much better at an explanation ;)
