Do we have any idea when the spawns will be adjusted? Like the day before or something?

Aaaaaaaaand - We're off!!!!

Are we going to have a guess at how many Shogun harnesses are gonna be looted from mobs that take 70 peds to kill there will be :silly2:

You have any info about the spawn of BB, or is just to make us chase for mobs with lower than 10 points in this round?

Uhm as far as i know Thorio is way nastier than Thorofoid... Is it on purpose to have a nastier mob for Support than Main (that gives also less points btw) or is it just a confusion of names with all these Thorio and Thori around?

Its not a confusion of names. They have different maturity descriptions (Looter couldn't apply to Thorio, etc).

If the spawn for the support mobs won't be adjusted... we won't have a great start in Stage 1.
Hurricane... any info will be appreciated it.

I think this should answer your question:

Support: This year, to give more hope to the smaller teams, there will be CAPS (limits) on Support scoring.

For the Qualifiers, the maximum Support score is 100 Points.

For Stages 3 and 4, the maximum Support score is 150 Points

For Stage 5, maximum Support score is 200 Points

For the Final, Support scores are unlimited. (By this time, teams are expected to have gathered larger support than they had at the start)

The Support Mobs will be slightly tougher in general, to reflect the amazing work done last year, with the occasional "Uber" mob to encourage teamwork.

I think this should answer your question:

No, it doesn't. Having a though mob in Support doesn't imply having a very weak one in main, with the weaker that scores 2 times the points of the tougher, and more than a Thorifoid shaman. IMO it's simply unbalanced. :)

Prolly I haven't been clear enough. I meant an INVERSION of mobs, with Thorio for Main (instead of Support) and Thorofoid for Support (instead of main). But if it's correct as it is, (and let's wait for Hurrikane to state that), i raise some doubts about balance of scores. (see above)

I think the idea is that it's supposed to be a varied mix for everyone.

Main team have some weak mobs to make it harder to get the variety bonus. Support teams have some tough mobs to make it more challenging. Overall the main team mobs are quite a bit harder than the support mobs.

That's correct, but i'm not disputing this. I'm doubtful about the score points given to a weak mob (Thorofoid) in comparison to a much tougher one (Thorifoid). Or, as for Support, Thorio vs Thorafoid. If the reason is that weaker mobs are harder to glob that would give small Thorofoids more points, not less than big ones. If the ratio is (as i think) more points for harder mobs, than Thorofoid should have less points than Thorifoids. Hope this clears my thoughts. And btw I know it's quite annoying with all these similar names. :D

Support mobs scores are always less than Main Team mob scores.

And traditionally weaker Main Team mobs score less points than stronger Main Team mobs. The bonuses for variety still make it worth considering hunting the smaller mobs.

Hello, I see some discussion. Discussion is good:)

The Moblist is the way it is because:

If Support got Thorafoid and Thorofoid they have both the "easier" mobs i.e. the obvious choice when utilising the Temple.

To give Main Team Thorofoid gives them a break, not all Main Team mobs should be devastating.

To give Support nasty old Thorio's gives them a challenge.

The fact that you can get 7 points for a big Thorofoid and it's only 6 for a Thorifoid Shaman is not in dispute. The fact also remains that armour specialised for Thorifoids does not help too much against high maturity Thorofoids or the Support Mobs, making for more tactical approaches. Also those Thorofoids are only found within crowds of high maturity Thorifoids and Thorio's etc, making that 7 points not easy to get. The Thorifoids are split for Maturity at Shamanic level because higher maturities are expected; the 9 points had to represent a decent percentage of these.

To compare a Main Team score against a Support Score is irrelevant. Main Team scores reflect what they have to do, Support Team scores are graded 2-4 respective of what they have to do. If a Support Mob is tougher than one on Main it will still never score higher than 4. For a start, support teams are at least 3 times the size:)

Apart from that, not only toughness makes a score what it is; sometime poor availability or poor likelihood of a global can grant high points value to a mob, as well as other factors.

I remind you all that the whole temple is going to have improved density/higher maturity Spawns that weekend, and to ready for anything:)

(Can't wait for those big little fish)

Lastly, how come no-one's mentioned the Mermoths? lol

Ty for your patience Hurrikane, u explained the point very well (... and u got it too) :D

To Jimmy: question was about relative balances, i know support scores less than main ;)

do you have any info on other areas or when we might expect the spawns to be regraded? be nice to know before Saturday.

My information is as follows:

"....current spawns (of the Mobs on the Moblists) will be raised...."

Make of that what you will. I am not aware of what time this will start, only that it will be in time for the Hunts, and only on the Hunt weekends.

Hurrikane

Thanks for the info so far Hurri.

I certainly hope they don't underestimate the level of spawn increase required as I am sure there will be plenty of gatecrashers from out of the events having some fun.

Big Bulks especially I see as very attractive to all. ;)

are Big Bulk blue I could have sworn they were grey/silver ;)

Moths of the Sea

Hurrikane

Mermoths! They are wobbly and blubbery and slow... and they, surprisingly enough, cannot swim! :)

Sweep Bonus:
All Species and Maturities (used for scoring), Main and Support= 25 points

Can you elaborate on this please? Does this mean every maturity that exists..? Or does it mean that the sweep is awarded if a team scores points in all categories (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,25)? I think it is the latter...

Yes, latter:)

To further explain: The Sweep is getting all possible Mob Scores; 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10 and 25.

News Just IN! Big Bulk transport changes course!

Yes, that's right; reports have come in that the robot Transport answering the Thorifoid's cry for help against the forces of the WoF has altered it's course, expecting huge resistance in their intended heading for Hadesheim.

The best we could divine from the scattered information we had was that the new landing zone would be somewhere east of the notorious city of Twin Peaks. They are not expected to arrive until the weekend.

Could all participants ensure this information circulates.

Spawns and maturity's adjusted sometime during this afternoon and remain in effect until Monday.

Good to hear, was a bit worried you'd wait until the last minute. Which would make scouting before match difficult ;)

Half the fun may be finding the new spawns... and keeping it to yourself. It is obvious this would be a good tactical decision :wise:

Best of luck to all teams  I am looking forward to my hand cramping from writing down a lot of globals and HoFs.

Hey Frank - nothing yet, and tis now Friday evening.

You sure you hit the right button?

Gonna be silly having a round of the WoF without one of the mobs on the list in game :silly2:

Hello Frank ..
