can´t use entropia radio

Hi,

Every time I enter entropia radio or Atlas haven radio my browser crashes and gives the message that the program failed and had to close. No other info about what caused the crash.

I tried both with firefox and Internet Explorer with the same results.

Any idea what can be the problem and how to solve it? :scratch2:

By the way I have a similar problem when I try to log in Entopia universe while on CND. If I have streaming audio on, it crashes inmediately after I log in. Don´t know if this is related.

I changed my sound card last week but it didn´t solve the problem.
 
Could you list your system specs and which sound card you have including any onboard sound cards you might have.

I will do my best to help you out m8.

thanks here are the specs

Windows XP
AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual core processor 4400+
2 GB RAM
Mainboard MSI MS-7260
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS

The mainboard has an integrated Realtek sound card (now disabled in BIOS)

I installed a Genius sound card a couple days ago (c-media CMI8738/c3dx PCI) but it didn´t solve the problems.
 
this might not help the problem but i downloaded winamp last night and use the browser in that. it also refreshes the stream automatically inbetween shows. but if it is hardware related could it still crash using that? hope it might help :)

how can I tune this station with the winamp?

Ok Disable any browser plugins or extensions you have installed,
also delete your cookies and cache,
and the restart your browser,

Then restart your pc in safe mode,
Then run an anti spareware program , I use Spybot S&D,
And an anti adware software - I use Adaware SE,

And then scan for viruses.. I use a german program called AntiVir.

Then restart your PC after doing all of the above,

And then Let me know here if the crashes stop,

If not ill see if i can try and help any more.

To use Winamp,

Open it,

Click file (in the top left corner)

Then open URL,

Then input this URL for atlas haven radio

mms://www.entropiaradio.com/atlashaven

Not sure what it is for other parts of entropia radio.

:yay: success!! I am listening to Atlashaven radio with winamp now. Where can i get the links for the other parts of entropia radio?


Anyway I will run my antivirus and a bunch of antispywares etc. on safe mode. Just to be sure no critter crossed to this side ;)

Is it possible get an link to ATH look like this?:

This is the most common type of links for audiostreams. Also asx is common.

I think many having problem because there is an mms-link, either with no PLS or ASX. From this you can define what software you want to use, winamp or mediaplayer or something else.
 
Winamp still kicks the llamas ass, even if they don't say it does any more!

I can't stream into your channel. I don't know is it about codecs or what, but I can only listen/see streams which contain video too. I know many people who have this same problem on Vista, so any help is welcome.
