Hey,
So my pc can't handle VU10.0 so need to buy a new one or maybe just upgrade some parts. Before that I tought it would be nice to see which PC set up can run witch EU gfx settings.

PC setup:
Operating System: Windows XP
Memory: 1024
Graphics Card: MSI NX7600 GS (NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS)
EU gfx: Low with avatars on medium

Any suggestion what I need to change to my pc is welcome. I guess just need some more memory an hopefully will able to run some thing at high

I use Vista 64 bit, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 260, AMD Phenom X4 9850

I get about 30-40 FPS on highres with everything on high except for shadows on medium + another setting on medium that I cant remember atm.

2.33Ghz Dual Core Intel Processor
Nvidia Geforce 8500GT graphics card
4GB RAM
19" Widescreen Display
Operating System: Windows 7

Using it on medium settings although I can go up to max just to get some great screenies such as these:

Macbook pro 15"
4gb ram
Nvidia 9800M GT 512RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo
windows xp 32 bit

works well on medium.

cheers

ermik

Computer:
Vista 64 bit
Intel q6600
6GB RAM
Nvidia 8800 GTX 768MB

EU Settings:
1600 x 900 (windowed)
2x AA
All settings to High

Don't have a framerate count, but I'd guess in the high 30's to low 40's. Not the smoothest ever but it's still very playable

Got some stuff in this box I overkill... lol :D

Specs:
E 8400
Gigabyte Mercury all Aluminium screwless case with water cooling inbuilt...3 outlet and inlet pipes to water cool with:)
4gb Kingston USA manufacture DDR3
OS Vista soon to be Win 7 64 bit
x 2 ~ 64 gb solid state in stripe raid.
X 1 ~ 16 GB solidstate drive for memory files
Mobo: Asus Striker bios to Rampage level
Water cooled CPU and Northbridge
VGA MSI GTX 295 (single pcb) vid card water cooled with Swiftech Epsilon waterblock
Zalman 6 rail PSU 850 watt>>> heat pipe cooled.
Few hard drives for files

I think it will handle it, I could be more obsessive, as age sets in aiming for solid performance without too much hassles.

GL all:yay:

Its like roadrunner on speed :)

Ps old pic since added GTX 295 previous had SLI 9800

Well I have a serious problem!

Computer:
Win XP pro 32bit
QuadCore Processor
2GB RAM
Nvidia G-Force 8800 GT 256Mb

....and I had a terrible lagg last night on Medium settings.. according to the start up screen of EU I cover the Medium requirements ... I suppose this means I would be able to play at least on Medium without problems...? I blame the RAM of my Nvidia..but not sure if thats the case.
Tonight I will try to update all the graphic drivers and play a bit with the settings. I hope this is VU problem as I aint changing my PC only because of EU..sad but true.
any ideas what else I can try ?

Some comp specs that matter:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz.
OCZ DDR2 2048MB 1066MHz.
XFX GeForce GTX260.
Windows Vista Ultimate 32Bit.

Running everything on full settings and working smoothly :)

Somewhat similar specs to mine:

Vista x64 Ultimate
Core2 Quad 9300 @ 2.55GHz
4GB DDR2
2 x 9800 GTX+ in SLI

Runs the game but I can't get better fps than 35-ish no matter what settings I'm using :scratch2: Very high = 15-20 fps, low = 35 fps. Thought I would've had way better performance than that.

But still early days and I'm sure things will improve...as long as MA change that *very* annoying you-can't-climb-anything-with-a-steeper-than-5-degrees-inlince "bug". It makes mining more or less impossible, at least for a big run.

To the OP: Put your computer buying thoughts on hold for a few more days, wait and see what it boils down to, what specs you'll need for a decent gaming experience. MA is very likely gonna improve a lot of things we're having issues with. But more mem is a must ;)

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition
GeForce GTX 260
6Gb memory
Vista 64b

Eveyrhing runs smoothly with very high settings

intel c2d 8500
asus p5q-e
2GB ddr2 8500
gainward gtx 275 896MB
win7

runs great with max settings (but still looks like shit compared to crysis)

a little edit here since I see new requirements available... I now should cover the high ones:

High Settings

Do you use Vista and have download or installation issues?

1. Right click on the client software icon
2. Select 'Run as administrator' option

lets see tonight

Operating System: Windows XP SP3
Memory: 2048 (dual cloaked gamers memory TWIN3)
Graphics Card: ATI 4890 x2
EU gfx: all setings maxed (anty-l just at x8 i can go up x24 but they dont offer that option)

Here's what I'm on

Operating System: Windows 7
Computer Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ -2.4GHz
Computer Memory: 2048 MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX

Everything is working perfectly, even though my Gcard is falling a bit behind.

Phenom X3
4 Gig Ram
9800GT 512MB
Windows XP64
screen resolution only @ 1280x1024

Settings on very high and runs smoothly

Lan Party Jr Dual core
2Gig Ram
Nvidia GForce 9800 GTX+
Windows 7RC Ulitimate x86 (32-bit)

Runs smooth on high settings :yay:

some nice systems over here :) seems it could be possible to run everytihng on high by buying a new pc less than 1000€ (or close to)
But will waith a little bit because today I could run almost all on medium whit my crappy system :p

tip for people whit low spec pc's: You also need to set your audio setting to low ;)

'manlaptop':
schäfer 19" serverrack case
intel dp45sg motherboard
intel dual core 3.0 ghz
4 gb ddr3

Drives:
Model: WDC WD740ADFD-00NLR5 (raptor with 4,7ms)
Model: ST3250310NS (ES 24h drive)

Display:
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT

Chip type: GeForce 9800 GT
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Display Memory: 512.0 MB
Current Mode: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (85Hz)

working just fine .. a bit itchy on very high settings but needs some more testing with the settings

My Specs:
Intel E6750 OC @ 3.2GhZ
2x1GB OCZ 800MHz Memory
A MSI Ati X4850 OC 1GB
All on a Asus P5K Motherboard

I can run VU10 @ Very High.

Only Teleporting costs around 20-30 sec :(
And Loading the game costs arond 1 minute.

I'm running on laptop Acer Aspire 6920G (ATI ed., they usually have weaker nVidia cards)

Intel Core Duo T5750 (2.0 GHz, 667 MHz FSB 2mb L2 cache)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 (up to 1791 MB)
3gb DDR2
16" HD screen
vista 32 bit

Runs quite well.
First I started with high details then I crashed and when I got back I noticed that graphic options were *custom* and I sticked to that. No idea if that was high or not, but I think I had nice details and not a big difference between what I saw when it was high and custom.

Still I suppose I will get a new PC, this time a desk top, when I'm back from scholarship in February.

Intel core 2 Quad 2.4ghz
Vista 64
4gb RAM
Geforce 9600 1GB

running at 25 fps with very high shaders, textures, water, avatar quality, and draw distance. Everything else is High.

@Timbo witters:

Better game-graphics and gameplay can be achieved by getting a better Graphicscard. Memory is also important but an other graphiccard will change more.

Im an Ati fan so u would suggest an X4770 or better.

my humble input :

I've seen VU10 running on all details very high with 8X AA on Phenom II 550 dual core (max 60% loaded) with 4GB DDR3 1600 and 1GB ATI 4890 @ 20-50 FPS. NB! it is glitching in crowded places, 40+ FPS in the woods.

P.S. it was on win7 64 bit.

P.P.S. probably dual ATI 4890 would run it smooth - bottleneck for sure =)

AMD XP 2200
1.5G RAM
Nvidia 7600GS
Frequent freezes and random reboots :yay:

Not even going to try logging in until new PC is built.

XP SP3
Abit IB9 mobo
Core 2 Duo E6400 1066fsb
4 X 1gb DDr2 800mhz low latency timings
Evga 8800GT SSC

Game ran at first, now no longer runs getting green artifacts and then total system crash, gfx card looks like it's overheating. I'm contemplating buying a new card but am undecided, I dont see why I should really as this is the only game that doesn't run with such artifacts and crashing, will hang it out and see what MA come up with in terms of patches, I'm not about to blow cash on a card for a game so buggy.

My PC is a little choppy at Medium settings and can't really understand why. What do i need to upgrade?

Intel C2D E8400 3.0 GHz (Can clock till 3.6 with my cooler)
2GB 800 MHz ddr2
Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512 Mb
Motherboard Asus P5N-E SLI
Vista 32-bit

Plays Crysis on Very High better than EU on High.

Would buying 2GB more RAM make it perform better or maybe use Windows 7 for better performance

2GB Of ram is really enough for this game.

@Timbo Witters
For like €500 or similar to $500 you can get a nice C2D system with some nice GFX to play EU.

AMD II X4 955 BE @ 3.2GHz Stock (What I usually run for games now since nothing needs more)

Corsair DDR3 XMS3 2x2GB 1600MHz OC RAM

MSI 790FX GD 70 Motherboard (Supports up to 4x Crossfire)

ATI 4890 XT GDDR5 1GB

Western Digital Black Caviar 1TB Hard Drive

Corsair 850w PSU

Coolmaster HAF 932 Case

Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU Cooler

Samsung CD/DVD/Lightscribe CD Drive

Runs at about 50fps-60fps (cap/vsync) all Very High w/AAx8 @ 1920x1080.
