Greetings all,

Instead of waiting until it is upon us, I am requesting that as many people as possible from as many countries as possible let us know when your region will be celebrating Easter in 2010. If you know of more than one observance of Easter in your area, please post that as well. This is not about religious debate please... just trying to avoid scheduling conflicts :thumbup:

While we are at it, let us know about any national holidays / observances that could potentially cause a conflict. Hurrikane has a target date of 13 FEB 2010, so take at look at that weekend and every other weekend following that.

In the US, Easter is on April 4th. Also February 14th is Valentines Day. :)
 
A bump for holidays / observances from Feb - Jun 2010 :) Does not matter where you are from... please post it :thumbup:
 
Australian National Holidays 2010:

Australia Day .. January 26 (Tuesday)
Easter .. April 2 (Friday) to April 5 (Monday)
Anzac Day .. April 25 (Monday)
Queens Birthday (all but WA) ... Jun 15 (Monday)

Keep in mind that Aussie Monday mornings tend to equate to Sunday afternoon/evenings in other timezones.
 
The Orthodox Easter is on 4th of April too. This year it coincides with Catholic Easter so there should be no problem. :)

On my calendar, April 25 is a Sunday... and Jun 15 is a Tuesday :scratch2: Can you confirm please?

Waitangi Day is Saturday 6 February
Good Friday is Friday 2 April
Easter Monday is Monday 5 April
Anzac Day is Sunday 25 April
Queens Birthday is Monday 7 June

Ooops .. :ahh:

Double checked the diary ..

April 25 is Anzac Day, but the public holiday for it is on Monday April 26.

Queen's Birthday holiday should be Jun 14, not Jun 15 - so Monday again.

Quite right... Mother's Day appears to fall on the weekend for Stage 4.2... while Father's Day is the Sunday after the Finals (tentatively of course...)

The dates of Mother's Day and Father's Day vary from country to country. I think if you tried to avoid them all there would be no WoF (or it would be on Wednesdays :D)

02/04 - Good Friday - Friday
04/04 - Easter - Sunday
25/04 - Freedom Day (Carnation Revolution) - Sunday (WTF)
01/05 - Labor Day - Saturday (WTF)
03/06 - Copus Christi - Thursday
10/06 - Day of Portugal - Thursday

Here are the freedays (or holidays) in Portugal between 13 Feb to June.

If you caught December that would be nice, two freedays in two consecutive days :D (1/12 and 8/12 respectivly)
