RockTropia LA that is PvP loot zone!! Caution!! You will lose all your looted items entering it. Also it does not show up as red once you have entered it!:mad:

Look at this picture to see a Land Area that is PvP loot area.

People are exploring and wandering into this LA and getting looted immediately by people camping out waiting for someone to blunder into this PvP zone.


There is no warning. The PVP is instantly on the moment you cross the border to that LA.


Luckily I did not have my shot so I died instantly. If I had my shot I would have been killed and looted. Someone was shooting at me the moment I entered! Camping to kill new explorers!!
 
And if that isn't stupid enough, there's a TP in it... :duh:

are you sure? There is a tp at the other side of the stadium.

Anyway, yeah be careful there it is being camped fairly heavily. The other lootable pvp full of zombies near BAMF HQ warns you, but lemmy's doesn't.

I just read that the motorhead-arena is lootable pvp too!

I thought I´d go there and check it out but now... If I risk to get looted without any warning ... I might better stay away :eek:
 
just the small red area around the stadium is lootable. the rest is regular pvp. and you are exaggerating, usually the area is deserted.
yesterday I meet someone there (someone named Chlorane) and I tried my best to explain to him that hes in lootable pvp (I didnt kill him, I just explained using chat) and he was like ''oh", "how is loot here", etc. he was clearly not aware.

LOL well I had the good fortune to get looted in both the PVP zones :laugh:

First one by tping into BAMF HQ. The other one at the Stage where my escort promised not to shoot me while we went to check out the stage together. And all I have to say about that is Angel Shadow Heart...........you promised!!! :eek:

I noticed that too, no shot on me so I died right after usign tp chip to get in there (wanted to see the stage too).
How about some information about that PVP area on entering and how about changing a colour on the map?

On my map red PVP area was under green LA area. Red colour was hardly visible at all. Make red going above the green or mix the colours so there is some difference there, plz!

It's quite a nasty trick... :(

There are 4 TPs in the stadium area that I'm aware of. One (Main Stage iirc) is in the lootable zone, the others are in non-PVP areas.

Yeah I agree, even after I died I couldn't see the red PVP zone under the green LA area.
 
Im sure i had the usuall lootable pvp messages poped up on my screen when i was at the stadium.:scratch2:
 
This makes me sick, especially as I heard a certain AV was there, known for pk'ing a lot, wont mention names.

If there is clearly no warning when entering, someone must have had inside knowledge of where it was, as who continualy shoots av's wherever they may be on the continent.

''Oh, lets try over here on the map, and shoot people just to see...''

Mindark or Neverdie should re-emburse unweary souls of venturing into pvp lootable zones that clearly are not marked, not even with signs, so silver spooners with pvp armour can make a quick buck.

Think tonight i'm heading back to Calypso, had enough of these scare stories on Rocktropia, not to mention the intolerable decay i'm getting.

I hope he responds to this thread saying it is an area that will be patched asap, rather than it being a feature to piss people off.
 
I got two hunting globals yesterday, was in a good mod because of that, walk on, walked in to that area without seeing any hint of a lootable area, and Baam!, shot in the back by a player that i just walk that was pretending to be a miner or something. Was not in a good mod after that.....

Hence why after a quick team hunt tonight, i'm heading back.
I know how you feel, but worse than I felt, as I got looted when I knew I was in a pvp area, not to know is downright wrong on their part.

Hmmm.. have to have toxic shot in place to enter... warning screen popped up saying a lootable area for me. How does one not know???

To op - yes - it needs to show as red on the map as only a very small piece does if you look close. Good post to let ppl know.

*Waves hello to Angel and ty for the pass... not much out there though.

yes, when you know you are in a lootable pvp area is "all right, part of the game", you know you take a risk. But people take advadage of people not knowing.....Well, new day, and today i know...;)

The warning message only shows once you are already inside the PVP area, and since people are camping at the boarder you will already be dead once realizing you are inside.
Lost 100-150 ped on this poor game design.
 
Other curious thing is that you get looted even if your HP is near nothing.

I tp'd in while exploring and immediately got jumped by some mobs. Even though my HP was almost gone, I got shot and looted. Is this change in PVP new to this VU? I thought that if your HP was below 50%, you could not get looted.

I had just minimal junk on me, so I didn't really care. But, if I had just hit a global, and this had happened, it would have been a different story...

I never heard of this 50% thing you mention for players getting looted??? This only applies to Mobs you try to loot. Otherwise every miner in PvP4 would already be 75% dead to ensure they don't get looted.
 
You don't see a PvP area until you walk into it. There is a pop up as you enter it but by then it is too late.

There was a warning on Calypso right before you entered a contaminated PvP zone but there is none on RockTropia as you enter them.

If you TP into it that is different but there is a Revive in the LA next to it and a path leading right to the PvP and no signs warning you about it.

When I walked up that path I was trying to get to a TP that I was told was near there. Why the person didn't tell me it was in a PVP loot area I am not sure. Possibly helping the people camping the loot area. :mad:

I heard of people doing that exactly.

They would either have a mob damage them or would injure themselves with rocket or an old fap gun switch trick.

Think that this was changed recently though.

And I thought you need to be shot in PP to loose your stuff...stupid me ;)

Before, if you had less than 50% HP, and were killed by another avatar, they could not loot you. Since I do not mine or hunt in PVP, I was not aware of any change in the rules as to when you could be looted.

You should die since you technicly can't enter it without the shot.

That happened to me and I heard someone's BLP rifle like an ML-35 fire right when I died. They timed it right when I entered exactly. Luckily I didn't have my toxic shot so I was killed by the radiation instantly. :silly2:
 
I think I still have a toxic shot active so I better dont go there :rolleyes:
 
Is there a tax applied to PvP kills because its in a LA? Just curious .....
