No one seems to have mentioned this in this way so here I go:
This is how it used to work:
When an existing avatar in game went to work for MA / FPC, (aka Hanne, Justin..) they had to sell their avatar first and make a new one. It's to my understanding that all MA employees were required to have an in game avatar but that avatar was not allowed to withdraw, transfer items etc. I'm certain they were monitored. The requirement was so the employees were able to play the game, get to know the game better and how it works, and such things since most of them had never played it. They had / have their own society within the game. They were basically anonymous. Why? Because if in an 'official' avatar they could never get to learn the game due to all the questions and attention they'd get from other avatars. I agree with how it was done before.
I don't personally know of any of them looting an uber item although it certainly could have happened before the discoveries listings were made. I also don't know and would think that if they did, the item was returned to the loot pool. I don't think it is a bad thing for the employees to have to play the game as long as they weren't able to withdraw, transfer etc. (I do NOT know if this is the current requirement for MA or FPC employees now.)
When it was simply MA, the various parts of the offices were section off. Meaning that even if you worked there, you were NOT allowed into different areas so you couldn't see what other employees were doing. Was it perfect? No, but it was an attempt to separate them. In ND's, video, I do not see that separation.
I think this should be how all planet partners should be with their employees.
Now, how would we feel if Marco, Dave, Hanne, or if any other MA or FPC employee made a discovery no matter how small of value? Even more hell would break loose. ND, Force, and others are the same. A CEO or COO or CFO or employee shouldn't be making discoveries. Yes, ND is very open as to works for him and we do know that. That part is a good thing but it's not enough.
When RT opened up and ND was globaling there was long threads like this. It was never resolved then and it should have been then. If I remember correctly, ND said he was helping people (friends) get to the tp's and different areas so they could see things since they were over run with the big creatures. Why isn't ND's avatar or the head of any planet partners avatar like Marco's avvy? Big gun, can't loot and the like for such situations?
Yes, something needs to be done with the whole situation about planet partners and their employees. Also, their immediate family members just like any other contest, games etc where money is involved should be banned from playing. MA is the one that HAS to do this though and make clear requirements and let the community know what those requirements are. They also need to let us know in general how it is enforced? We also need to know that is IS enforced. Every employee avatar should be monitored for every planet partner.
Please MA, address this issue once and for all.
