Celebrity Avatar NEVERDIE Banished to Virtual World Prison

fyi, I just deposited over 1k less then a month ago... and many of the others here have done so too... When we talk about not depositing, most of us are talking about going fowards... as in future deposits.

As far as having a say, everyone who participates should have a say... they advertise this as a free to play mmo... so anyone participating on any level, even the non-depositing sweaters should have a say.

Okay I should have added that majority of players don't even post or even read the forums. I'm just wondering what the majority of players think and not just the majority of the forum.

It's pretty sad that the minority of players who have nothing better to do then bitch on the forums cost ND his avatar.

No it isnt.. Casino employees shouldn't play in the casino. Lottery officials shouldn't play the lottery. Pete Rose shouldn't bet on the Reds (but should still be in the HOF). What part of this is so hard to comprehend? It's common sense. Just because MA skirts around regulation doesn't mean access to insider info should be ignored. If anything, BRAVO to the community for standing up for themselves in this case.

The PP Agreement would have made this stipulation.

As quoted by ND himself when he was pulled up on this..

NEVERDIE said:
"It has been brought to my attention that the Planet Partner Agreement strictly Prohibits Planet Owners or planet Partner Employees from Playing Entropia universe with private Avatars"

He signed the agreement, he must have read it and understood what it meant. It cant have been that trivial a transaction for him to not read the terms he was signing up to.

He ignored it, got caught, and was told by MA to adhere to the contract he signed.

Now he is spinning the facts into something else?!?!

Very odd behaviour.

This is a game, not real life. The fact that it has an RCE does not change the fact that it's a game. It's a game designed for people who don't want to spend 8hrs/day for 2 months just to build up enough funds to get some half decent gear. Here you can just deposit and buy that gear. Still just a game and anyone who takes it more seriously then that might have a problem distinguishing reality from fantasy.

Ah... but they tell us in ads that it is NOT a game...

False advertising?...

Right up there with:

while JWT admits himself that taming is a system... Why isn't that system online if the client loader is telling us that all systems are oneline?

and this...

Attention: This feature is not yet re-implemented since the CryEngine2 Update. It is expected to return during the course of 2010.

and all of this:

and various promises listed over at https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/...co-said-....&p=2597728&viewfull=1#post2597728

or this good ol one from Neverdie...

How can you have "Unlimited Free Access" when paying TP fees to get to other planets?!?

or how about this...
deed2.jpg
, later changed to remove the word ownership specifically to get away from legal battles like ones in other mmos where the other mmos were falsely letting participants believe they "owned" something in game...

yet something else to feed the lawyers if there ever is some sort of a lawsuit... doubt there ever will be one though...

They also say it's not gambling but I'm sure we have all seen people who play like this is a casino. Plus a lot of games say things like, "it's more then a game".
Either way I'm getting sidetracked and worked up(the inner Troll is trying to get out). Lets just leave this at I don't believe ND should have ever been banned and I would be interested to see what the majority of players think of that.

You sir, are an idiot.

One person should not have inside information that gives him an advantage over others. THIS IS COMMON SENSE. People spend large amounts of money in this game and they deserve assurances that they are being treated fairly. Not to mention the fact Jon Jacobs was, BY HIS OWN ADMISSION, violating the very legal agreement he signed with MindArk by still playing on ND.

All the examples Centech gave also refer to games. What point are you trying to make?

What's a major part of any game? The rules. And one of those rules state that developers can't play with personal avatars.

And as for ND being the 'face' of Entropia....I'm sorry you feel that way :yup:

He was for me and many people I know in game. We aspire to be more famous then him. He set the bar for success in this game.

Casinos are also games?

Why on earth would you want to be more famous then a douchebag?

All the fame in the world can't compete with one true friend. Unless ofcourse you think you're very important, deserve all the attention and money your ego can absorb. Then you're right on track.

I hear Daisy is recruiting for that society that one of Neverdie's employees started... Not sure a lot of fame is there, but a lot of infamy might await you there... possibly even the same amount Neverdie himself has... that's what he's really got I think, infamy, not real "fame".

Please name a few, and have them post here, as well, if possible (other than those ROCKSTAR soc dimwits and ND's personal friends like RexDameon). I have serious trouble believing this, and if it is true, maybe those conspiracies that PPs or whoever are trying to get rid of old players to get a new, dumbed down and easily manipulated playerbase is true after all.

P.S.: If you blindly believe all that glitter, roses and sparkles NEVERDIE throws in your face in his PR videos, articles and whatnot about how awesome he is... well, I'll limit myself to congratulate you on being just the kind of customer they want and deserving your own fate (remember these words a few years from now).

Ok, to be honest, that article is just... disgusting. Really.

"You must spread some rep ... blah blah blah". On the ball as usual.

I think that once you cross from player to part of the business you should no longer be able to participate as a player. Period. They make the decision they should abide by the planet partner agreement. ND has done a lot of good things for EU. I totally respect his energy and motivation. You have to be who you are and not who other people think you are. Do what you are good at. I just think he should continue his trend by operating appropriately instead of furthering the appearance of impropriety. It`s gone from helping to hurting. MA may not be able to enforce such things as people disregarding the no multiple avatar rule since they can`t see into peoples homes. But in the case of ND they know and it is obvious. Perhaps they are more to blame than him for letting him run all over their rules. They set a precedent when they chose to look the other way. And that says a lot.

Celebrity Avatar NEVERDIE

self-proclaimed

Meaning:
usually disapproving : giving yourself a particular name, title, etc., usually without any reason or proof that would cause other people to agree with you ▪ the self-proclaimed king of pop ▪ a self-proclaimed expert.

They set a precedent when they chose to look the other way. And that says a lot.
and... in the future, in how they treat him and other Planet Partners, including folks that invested in other Planet Partners, like Deathifier, it will say a lot - and untimately decide the entire future of this virtual universe and the platform it resides upon... Again and again... more questions, no answers yet...

Wow, you really believe that ND is actually famous? That's the funniest thing I've heard all day, thanks for the laugh.

Not sure what to think of this tbh :scratch2:

Or just get hold of the right info, that stuff has been leaking out of MindArk for years and with planet partners it's almost a flood. There are people on ths forum that could tell many facts about EU that were never offically released.

Still just a game and anyone who takes it more seriously then that might have a problem distinguishing reality from fantasy.

I can think of one example in EU that fits.

Just one final point, EU has many practical applications in the real world. It is one of the most versatile and secure enablers that's available across most of the world. There is a lot of money to be made from using EU not just as a game.
