Celebrity Avatar NEVERDIE Banished to Virtual World Prison

Don't get it...So he said a few months ago he wouldn't play much, now he says he plays pvp...who cares? might actually be fun to have events saying hunt neverdie, guy who kills him the most times wins something...
 
I've not read all of the thread so the following may already have been suggested but there was an easy way for Neverdie to keep his avatar alive.

Before he became a planet partner, HE should've sold his bank and any other high MU/uber items. Then MA should've stuck a star on his head to identify him as a planet partner official, and all that the status entails (presumably, the inability to loot items).

Simples.

This would have prevented that non-witchhunt (because I also believe the concerns of the community were genuine) from occurring, while allowing him to wander around ingame, interacting with the community. Something he clearly (and I don't blame him) still wants to do.

As far as ND goes, who gives a shit!?! - it wont effect most people who play the game but in the last 1.5 years he seems to be the only person actively promoting EU and adding some form of content to the game. I doubt he could request high end loot drops given the particular attention MA is paying(screwing up) to the loot pool these days; my guess is that its probably some form of over-compensation offered by MA to ND for the continual screwups with the launching of NextIsland.

READ THE THREADS THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS... HE IS PLAYING ON CALYPSO AS BANKER BANKER MANAGER, THE OWNER OF THE NEVERDIE BANK, i.e. one of his second avatars... and he took actions in that bank that indicate that he was aware of changes that would happen on his own planet's loot pool that would affect Calypso... so actually, if this was the real world, and not a game, he might be in an actual prison, and not a virtual one, or at least paying a lot of fines...

Developing a game is in no way rebellious, nor is playing in a pvp society that is run by the employees of that developer, lol.

Lets see Force and Neverdie vs Marco and Carromine in pvp someday, lol.... could even be done up there in that new prison.

ND, remember when you got your hangar stolen - we the community did our best to get it back. We even blocked the door for weeks. We didn't ask for anything, we just thought it was shady that something of value had been stolen from you.

I mailed you a few weeks back to say that I thought the witch hunt was a bit harsh, however, it appears I was wrong.

Did you really request that these scanners dropped a lot as a promotion and did you really reduce the lend value of them in your bank a day/week or two before this happened?
If you did this man, then shame on you, that was really very underhand and there are proper laws against that shit. I actually can't figure out why you would have gone down that road? You knew what would happen, you didn't need to "see the effect on the economy" as per your email that dropped through to me only yesterday. There's a reason mervyn king hasn't increased the base rate in the UK yet, it's becasue the economy is still recovering. What you don't do is kick it when it's in the middle of such a recovery, as you just have.
You know the market was full of jitters, right? - Or is it the case that you've surrounded yourself with fan boys for too long and have become out of touch with the reality of this micro economy?

If all the things said on the forum over the past few days are true, then you need ot take a good look at yourself man. Just becasue you can do something, really doesn't mean that you should.
I worked for JP Morgan for a number of years, I took care of their stock trading software. I could have taken some information that would have made me seriously wealthy, I didn't. I chose not to, becasue it was the right thing to do, and if I had, then ultimately others would have lost at my gain, and that's really not right (no, I'm not a socialist, but I'm a socially aware capitalist).

Consider your actions and consider the players, becasue with no players my friend, you've poured all of your money into a dead duck.

You know Daisy, your promotion of RT is negative. I had gotten an email Tuesday from RT and was going to check it out tonight when I got home from work, as I have never been. But you popping up (again) and talking shit has decidedly turned me off to going there.
I am not sure why ND keeps you around. Your trash talking was funny at first, now it's just sad.....

I remember a Korean mmorpg I read about in Game Developer magazine that had special avatars or similar that came and killed banned avatars ingame. I think the game was aion online.

Noone is convincing me and others more than you to never visit ND's planet.

I still never saw the point of banning the face of EU. BTW, that article implies that it was the forum bitching that got ND banned, not a previous PP contract. I wonder what people who actually play and deposit thought of ND playing. Several of you hear have sworn you don't depo because your protesting missing systems. Well in this case your not a customer and shouldn't have a say. It's pretty sad that the minority of players who have nothing better to do then bitch on the forums cost ND his avatar.

fyi, I just deposited over 1k less then a month ago... and many of the others here have done so too... When we talk about not depositing, most of us are talking about going fowards... as in future deposits.

As far as having a say, everyone who participates should have a say... they advertise this as a free to play mmo... so anyone participating on any level, even the non-depositing sweaters should have a say.

Also... anyone who bought in to the "hype" that there would be a taming system, and paid money in in the past for whips, for skills, for brushes, for pet deeds, etc. are all customers... many of which have been customers for many more years they you.

If you don't see the point in having someone removed from the game who signed a contract with a clause in it that stated that he would not be playing or something to that effect, even though he kept on playing after signing that for like 9+ months, you might need to buy a new pair of glasses...

Heaven help us all if ND is the "face of EU" ...

The vast majority of people that actually take time to post in these forums "actually play and deposit"
