Am I right in assuming that this new mob, Traeskeron not only looks the same as a proteron. Probably has the same stat as a proteron; health, difficulty, attributes, dmg etc, but is the loot still the same as a proteron??

A Traeskeron is like a noob version of Proteron, easy to kill with like 20 dps. They are also very slow so can mostly be killed before they reach you (however, they can hit pretty hard)
 
I still can't seem to find how to get to the middle island.
Anyone have an idea?
 
Supposedly you have to finish all the other missions and then somewhere you get some vaccine mission...

If anyone has found "George" in the Oasis, maybe they could share. ;)

Looked for over an hour, doesn't seem to come up on the radar, and I've flown/driven over the place 3 times now. Well over an hour of searching. Starting to get irritating. :D

Alina do you need help?..Post for Calypso Rescue Team if you still do_Or do you mean with killing out there too many in mob?
 
Alina, is the traskeron wave mission part of the chain, ior is it a separate instance?

Also, to get the vacine mission, do we need to complete all missions on this island including all the little mob kills, or is it the other one?

I had a mission at daikiba wave, about those no idea, i just wanted to do a mission faster ( 600 to kill in total) since the other spawns are poor.

For vaccine i just did some missions from Naval Station and then they send me to other town Jameson's Reach ( from where u get it after some more missions).

The Oasis Wave Event started at 21:22 MA time. Round timeout 21:37. So 15mins for first wave. A lot of Rextelum up to strong

That (probably) explains the confusion. Normally we're used to in wave spawns a message "next wave event will be availible at hh:mm", and then we can return then to see what happens. Now there is a chance slightly less than 10% to see the wave spawn if you randomly come to a wave event area.

As for the info "Broken?" it comes from the original post here in this thread - probably broken as seen in the eyes of the old wave spawn missions (you arrive at a wave spawn area, but you don't see any mobs and you don't get the message when next wave is supposed to begin). "Traeskeron?" and "Daikiba?" is things I've read at a glance, but not been able to confirm further. So far I haven't taken me the time to jump to the Bull Pen each 15th minute to see if there are any mobs around (or to idle there for three hours doing nothing).

Also, I can't really see if a place like Poacher Camp and Broken Vehicle are wave event areas, or if it's just a name of a place that doesn't stick on map. I'm apparently not that far into the missions, so for me most NPCs simply don't respond anything at all.

And if you give to Camoflaged camp after completing the dig site missions from research camp, you can now do the "Robot commander" mission that has a reward of 5 tokens.

Kim this will make almost impossible to make the "Complete the wave" mission (50 goki + boss). We were 2 ppls on the Traeskeron so we got timeout. At least if u know when the event start u can ask some ppls to join...
 
few more pics in no particular order :)


I like this VU aLOT, esp. the eastern island sceneries. Not to mention it is despite nice mountain ranges quite mineable, and though there are various mobs (and nasty critters like pupugi, igni and goki in swamps, perfect), density feels ..natural. Maturities good for low-mid hunter, no annoying aggressive but low maturity pests mixed in, or for miner who don't mind to shoot 1-2 mobs now and then. I like the new mob on west island too, which is more demanding, and from reports seems in the middle there are the tough guys. Because of missions it is a bit challenge to get there (no I don't know yet how), but seems there is nothing a serious hunter who don't want to waste his/her time for missions, really needs. For others it will be a challenge, as some ppl like me do actually like to do old-fashioned mission-chains :) I Like the serious looking mothership too. Good work! :thumbup:

Went your counter on the goki mission up? Mine is still 0, although i killed a lot of them in the wave. But for one person there is no chance at all to complete the mission.

The wave spawners are not made for 1 person, they are for 10-20 people.
