Azgarot's Mining Log

As new as I am to Entropia, after reading all of planetcalypso's wisdom I decided to, above all else, focus on mining. I found myself a mentor, Schism, who couldn't have been more helpful with the choice of tools, locations etc. So thnx Schism =)

In this log, I will record every ped put into mining and every ped of return. First goal is to cycle 10k ped through mining. Until that time every drop will be unamped. For the moment my runs are 100 peds worth of bombs each, probably going to raise it to 200 but all in due time. Should have started the thread right away but I was quite busy so here is a list of runs so far.

Just a small suggestion: tell us what/how many claims you get? Like out of 10 bombs/drops you get an X, V, III, NRF, NRF, NRF, XIV, II, VI, XII? Could you please? If not, I'll still be as happy reading your log

I haven't been tracking the exact hitrate but I did record every hit from ample IX and above in my spreadsheet. I'll edit my previous posts and add those too for you =). To be honest I find it too tiresome to take record of every single drop, tho I understand it should be done for more accurate data. I am tracking all sorts of things in my spreadsheet, like location, exact time of the day run took place etc. I will probably release the spreadsheet too once I am done with my cycle. Anyhow, here is another run.

@raynopssgold: The MU ain't bad but it dropped in the last couple of days, I am always trying to keep the MU as high as possible on the mats I sell but some people tend to drop it real fast. I ain't complaining tho, getting a lot of skills and still making some profit so it's good so far

@Schism: We'll see man, I am gonna get myself Z15 tonight so I think I should stay here for a while longer. Want to see the difference in drops with this one. We'll definitely change location soon. I'll be maxed with Z15 in a day or two anyway so we are good to go this weekend.

This run was pretty decent, nice TT retutn considering I had no globals or anything greater than an Ample IX but still hitrate was insane. It felt as if almost every 2nd, maybe 3rd drop hit something, mostly Very Poor III and Poor IV but nice hitrate anyway. I am still longing for a SOOTO, hopefully it'll come soon. And guys, anyone heard when are those spaceships coming back? It'd be cool to get one every now and then =)

To be honest I was expecting a bit better run since the ealier one was pretty bad but instead I got an even worse one It's a bit too early to draw any conclusions but I am starting to think that it ain't that smart to use a finder that ain't maxed yet. Does anyone have any info about that? I will see what happens next, Z15 should be maxed in the next 2-3 runs.

The unmaxed finder should be fine. It only affects your depth and you seem to have a great spot where you only find 3-4 ores and no crap. It'll even out. You are doing great. Keep dropping and watch your ped balance rising.

How much meters you are left to max z15?

Anyways, you`re at 89 % TT return on 2,2k peds cycled. Thats pretty good and you have a idea what mining is

But, always expect bad returns and don`t be frustrated.
You can expect even next run bad like previous ( chances are pretty low for that with unamped mining ) - so just keep it up and don`t be pissed off easily.

I see, thnx for the replies both of you. On a side note, I ain't pissed by this, not at all actually. Speaking of which I must have some sort of personality disorder, even when I gamble for some reason I enjoy losing more than winning... I guess that's what the gamble rush is all about eh =)

In any case I am satisfied with my returns so far. As long as I'm in profit all is good.

Nice run overall. Good results and it didn't bother me too much with smaller claims thus reduced running around. I had quite a busy weekend so I couldn't mine at all and this is exactly a sort of run I like to see when I come back to the game
