The Noobs guide to Space

Introduction
for those of you that don't know, Project Entropia currently offers players a third option from Eudoria and Amethera (the two continents on planet Calypso).
This third option is The Crystal Palace space station.

This rough guide explains how you can get to the space station, the procedure for getting there (and coming home) and what you will find there.

Warning!
There is no access to storage once you get to space - make sure you are carrying everything you might need before you fly.

Part 1: Basics of getting there

1. How do I get there?
The only way to get to the space staion if you do not own a spaceship is by paying someone to fly you there.
There are quite a few spaceships in PE and these are kept inside hangers located around Eudoria. The main areas you will find these hangers is North of Camp Echidna, NE of fort Zeus and in the Corinth beach area.

You should ask around town areas if anyone is offering rides or "tickets" or look for people selling "tickets".
note:
There is no actual 'ticket' for flying, it is just a phrase used in the game.

2. Why do I have to pay and how much will it cost?
You have to pay the owner of the ship to fly because it costs money every time they fly the ship - The cost comes in the form of decay to the ship and the refined oil needed to fuel the ship. For reference, the ship has a full tt value of 2000 peds and can hold 20,000 units of refined oil.
note:
The cost to the pilot is the same regardless of how many people travel and you may get cheaper prices for several people travelling together.

How much it will cost depends totally on what the owner wants to charge you, if you think someones prices are too high, ask around for other people prices.

3. What is the trade procedure?
When you are agreed upon a price for your flight the following is normal procedure;
a) The ship owner will add you as a friend to their FL - this is done to give you access permission to the hanger (if it doesn't have public access).
b) At this point you should pay the pilot the agreed fee (in peds) through a trade.
c) You will be given permission to enter the hanger and the pilot will then board the ship to give you access to that too.

note:
If you are worried that someone may try to scam you, ask to have permission to board the ship before trading. Once you are actually on the ship then you should feel comfortable that the owner is genuine.

4. I am on the ship, what now?
The ship can take five people (including the pilot) and one of the first things you will see are the seats. There are two seats in the cockpit area (the left seat is for the pilot only), two further seats to the left and right behind the cockpit and one more seat to the rear of the ship.
You can sit in any seat except the pilots seat. To sit down, right click on a chair and chose sit down on from the menu that pops up.

Once you have selected a seat and sat down, you will see a yellow text warning in your chat window:

This is telling you that you need to activate the hud, which will bring up the ships interface on your screen. The hud is activated by the passenger right clicking on the hud button - The button can be located on the floor between your feet, or in the case of the co-pilot's seat - the right arm of your seat.

The 'Activate hud' button

Once activated, the hud will change your screen view to the ships interface.

Once in the ships interface, you are strapped in and ready to fly. You will notice at the top left of the screen is a map of the ship and its seats. Your seat will show as a green dot meaning that you are ready - other people who aren't ready yet or empty seats will show up as a red dot. When every passengers dot is green it is time to take off!

Other information on the interface shows the ships fuel level and its current tt vaule.

note:
Once the hud is activated you will lose your normal PE interface - you can always get it back by pressing v on your keyboard

5. What happens during the flight?
Once the pilot has hit the launch button the screen will begin to vibrate before shooting towards the stars. The flight is a very short one and your screen will keep you informed of what is happening. Do not be disturbed by seeing "WARNING" on your screen - this is normal. Around 10-15 seconds after launch you will reach your destination.

Warning!
Once the ship is in a launching state - do not stand up or deactivate your hud. This will lead to instant death.

In part 2 we show you the space station, the alien mobs and how to get home...

Part 2: The spacestation

1. Okay, I got there in one piece, what now?
The first thing you will notice is the difference on your map. Press 'm' and take a look.
The space station looks extrememly complicated at first, but it isn't really so bad.
note:
If at anytime you get lost navigating the endless corridoors, pressing 't' on your keyboard will take you to the tp/auction area

The second thing you will notice is the speed at which you run, you need to get used to this because it is always like this in space due to being inside all the time, pressing F8 to autorun gives a slight speed increase.

The spacestation comprises four Biodomes, ship landing areas and the main auction/tp area all interconnected via a series of (often confusing) corridoors. There are other areas to explore such as the bar and a technician/armorer area

The first thing you may want to do is find your way to the teleporter, which is in the main green area at the centre of the map.
This teleporter costs 10 peds to use and is a one way tp - It will take you back to Port Atlantis and it can only be used when coming from the space station (it is not permanently added to your map to re-use).

If you do not have 10 peds on your account you will have to stay at the station and try to get someone to bring you back.

Directly behind the tp you will find the spacestation auction area, this works in the same way as on Calypso.

2.What is in these domes?
The Biodomes house alien creatures.
There are four biodomes labled "Biodome 1" through to "Biodome 4" - 'dome 1' being the easiest and 'dome 4' the hardest.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

These domes house two kinds of alien creatures of various maturity levels - Aurli and Kreltin.
The aurli are tall thin upright aliens that walk on two legs and have a circular mouth full of fangs.

Kreltins are smaller aliens with a lot of armor that shoot acid from a 'blowhole' located on the upper front of their bodies.

4. Will I be able to kill the aliens?
This depends on your skills, below is a guide to the damage they do and their approximate health points.

Code:
Mob Dmg	Approx HP
Aurli Weak 77 500
Aurli Watcher 87 890
Aurli Soldier 96 ?
Aurli Strong 103 2500
Aurli Ravager 106 2800
Aurli Devastator 113 ?
Aurli Hunter 117 ?

Mob Dmg	Approx HP
Kreltin young 60 ?
Kreltin mature 67 930
Kreltin old 75 1000
Kreltin provider 94 1300
Kreltin guardian 99 1400
Kreltin dominant 104 1800
Kreltin alpha 110 ?
*Damage is shown with no armor being worn

What kind of loot will I get?
Loot changes all the time so it is difficult to say what items you may get.
Be aware though that you may loot alien body parts such as Alien blood, Alien acid, Alien resin, Aurli bone pieces, Aurli fangs and various plates/flesh. These items usually have a very high market value (sometimes as much as 2000% of the tt value) as they are used by armor crafters.

These are all the essentials you need to know to get you started - happy hunting.
