Hi Guys and Gals,

I started a talk show for Noobs geared towards learning about the game. It airs every week at Midnight MA Time Sundays on Atlas Haven Radio. I bring on vetecran players to share info and tidbits of secrets to being sucessful in the game.

If anything, you will learn something you didn't know!

*** Very Important Info ***

This Sunday, March 11th, starting at 00:00 Midnight MA Time there is a ONE-TIME-ONLY free event aboard the Bismark! I will be broadcasting live from this event!

The Bismark Mothership is offering free rides to those who want to experience space. The cool thing about Motherships is that you can log out during your journey and all your loot is safe!!! Then when you log back in, you are at your destination. No need to worry about Pirates! The pilot coordinates the arrival announcement via Ventrilo or Skype so you know when you arrive, and are safe to log back in to the game.

Using warp it only takes about two minutes to travel from Calypso to Arkadia for example...

How is this going to work, you ask???

1) Meet at Twin Peaks.... 2) Join the Bismark... 3) Depart for Space! The Bismark will be stopping at each space station for about an hour, then going on to the next stop. The Bismark will make two circuits... free of charge! Each departure is open to the first 40 people!

Please Note: For those of you who do not know, there is a 7 PED fee to TP down to Planet from each Space Station. Often you can find someone with a smaller ship to take you down cheaper, but that is not guaranteed during this event. The space between Space Station and Planet are PVP so if you have a large amount of loot be prepared to pay 7 PED to MA to make it to Planet safely.

If you listen in while I am on, I take requests... for songs or questions for the talk show - I want to know what you want to know, so I know what to ask my guests~!

Of course you can PM me in game, but you can also Skype me.

You can also fill out my request form... found on my new website!

Thanks!!!

safe from Pirates!

Does this mean your society leadership has changed its stance on endorsing piracy and dismissed the active pirates from you ranks?

IMO you can't have your cake and eat it too. :wise::wise:

I hope you are legit, and if so, then good luck with your new services.

Hi Narfi, thanks for your response. I want you to know this event is legit and I was not aware you got PVP'd in space until I mentioned this post to other Soc members.

All players need to keep in mind that piracy is PVP plain and simple -the same as on any planet. You of all people know this first-hand. :ahh:

What the Bismark is offering is an affordable way to avoid PVP in space for players. I will go back and edit my post to reflect the 7 PED charge to TP down to Planet to avoid the PVP between space station and planet.

Again, I appreciate your concern and thank you for raising a valid point to help the Bismark's cause.

I think you missed my point. It has nothing to do with me, the past is the past. (you can ask sakuba if I have in any way held a grudge or damaged his business after the way I was treated by your leadership)

But.
fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

It is a blatant conflict of interest for a society to be offering 'safe flights' while glamorizing piracy.
I promote a number of motherships services on Rocktropia since it is a remote location and people often need information on both scheduled and vip flights.

So I was asking if your policy's have changed. (from your response I am assuming not)

Hopefully you understand what I am trying to say and reflect on the implications of what you need to do to properly run an honest Mothership business in this universe.

narfi

ps. your passengers don't need to pay 7ped tp fees if you back the MS up to the server line bordering the Planet. They can fly out of the ship and emediatly get the 'do you want to land on xxx planet' message.

YARRRRRRRR

Feel free to bring all your stackables on our free 'safe' service provided by the band of pirates :D

Aw, you guys are hurting my feelings! Temporal Destinies Society has 81 members... of which only two spend their time in PVP Space trying to loot people who bring lootable items with them.

The last time I left Calypso in my Quad (which doesn't even have a gun), there were at least 50 blue triangles (ships) all around the screen - they can't all be Temporal Destinies~! I certainly am NOT a pirate.

There is an easy way to fix pirates in general. Take a mothership and use the TP at the space station. Do not take lootable items with you into PVP Space. Then NO ONE will be able to pirate anybody.

Now I will go off to a corner and cry, because stereotypes and double standards are alive and well in EU. Well, not really, but I wish people could be nice. Can't we all just hold hands and sing "Kumbaya"?

The problem is that Temporal Destinies are associated with pirates and from what you have just said you dont seem to have a problem with them. So therefore players do not trust you to move their loot, when their is other MF who are outspoken against pirates.

I am not saying you are a pirate or this is anyway trap or what ever it just my point of view. Gl with you service. At least some noobs will benfit.

* snip* Can't we all just hold hands and sing "Kumbaya"?

Well yes we can. But that will be while using the Normandie or other reputable MS for TRUE SAFE Transport :)

-Bemo-

P.S Good luck on your pirat.... errmm I mean transport services

I think its borderline off-topic the debate going on here. Perception can be altered and changed easily dependent on how we view something. Agree to disagree?

I personally like this event and in all honesty it is up to the owner of the MS to decide whether the pirates in their soc will affect their reputation or not. They are the ones primarily affected by this and if they have no problem with it, then we shouldn't criticize. Its not the only mothership around.

EDIT: 8 out of 10 threads on this forum always contain some kind of argument.

Speaking of conflict of interest, isn't your complaining about this ship service quite the conflict as well? :scratch2:

I think its borderline off-topic the debate going on here.

I personally agree, however, I'm not going to mod them for now. Frankly I know quite a number of MS owners are associated via soc connections w/ PVP folk. Some may or may not spend time in space.

It's simple folks, if she offers this service and they trap/loot someone, the service will be dead and their long-term reputation will be damaged forever. Period.

So stop the attacks about this please, and let them promote this service as they wish.

Narfis attitude towards me when I was trading on Rocktropia was nothing less then honest, forthright and supportive.

Sadly, I can not say the same for my dubiousness of him at the time, because of the situation that occurred with the Pirates in our Society.

However, as a member of the upper echelon of Temporal Destinies, I must ratify that our policies on PVPers/Pirates has not changed. Nor can I see it changing in the near future.

Temporal Destinies as a Society is geared towards helping and advising its members as well as newer Participants to the Entropia Experience. It is not our policy to tell our members how they can or can not spend or earn their PED. It is also our policy not to tell a member what trade/career/profession they choose to take. The choice is entirely theirs alone. The only hard ruling we have for those who choose to become PVPers/Pirates is that under no circumstances can they ply their trade on another Temproal Destinies Member.

I, personally, put Pvpers and Pirates in the same basket. Similarly with PVP4 Zones and PVP Space. Both Regions are lootable PVP areas and a part of the Game Mechanics.

With the PVP4 Zones you have the PVPers/Pirates hanging out in the fringes waiting for someone to HOF/Global on a certain creature/mob/rescource and knowing the most likely location for it to be, then teleporting to its aproximate location. This is done in the hope of gaining a large amont of loot cheaply and easily at someone elses expense. The secondary method used here is by happing upon someone within the region.

Within SPace you have them slinking around the Space Stations, awaiting some hapless victim to suddenly appear and charge off into Lootable Space. Alternatively, there is the possibility that they will come across their victims somewhere out in the vastness of spac itself. With the upcoming new mobs there is a possibility they will also gain the knowledge of what locations people may be in space as well giveing them and advantage there as well. But this will also help[ get them out of the choke points of Planetary Space Stations.

Overall I see little difference between PVP4 Zones on Planets or the PVP Area in Space. Many Societies have members who spend a lot of time in the PVP4 atras on Planets but you never hear of anyone crying foul because of this. Even I have helped kill others in these areas and loot them, even tho I only make cannon fodder.

In addition I have found it a huge advantage to have two experienced Space Combat Pilots that I have been able to use as escorts when transporting large amounts from planet to planet. As the new primary owner of the MS Bismarck, I am sure I will find more use for their particular talents in the future. Our association with PVPers/Pirates is transparent ... it is obvious we have an association..... can the same be said for other groups or Societies ?

Back on Topic

Those of you who wish to take advantage of this affer are welcomed to come to Twin Peaks and ask to be added to the guest list. I will hopefully have one or two other people there to help out. Each person who decides to join us will be added to a Team and when we approach the first departure time of 00:00 MA I will go up to the MS Bismarck and add those Team Members to the Guest List. Once everyone has been added to the Guest List I will do two Summons. The first will be approximately five minutes before departure, allowing a short period for passnegers to get rid of any stackables they do not wish to take. At approximately three minutes before departure I will send a second and final summons for passengers.

This three minutes is to allow passengers to accept the summons and log off if they have chosen to take stackables/lootable items/material with them. Those who choose to log off will have the following options available to them:

1. Stay tuned into Atlas Haven Radio for updates of when the MS Bismarck has arrived safely at it destination.
2. Add me in Skype so you can be added to the Bismarck Channel. (Sakuba or Milela_Sakuba_Wilnfe)
or
3. Use Our Ventrilo Server.
Hostname or IP: ny2.ugt-servers.com
Port Number: 25178
Password: N/A
Channel: Bismarck Passengers and Crew.

This is an open Ventrilo and does not require that you need to be a member of Temporal Destinies to drop by any time. This is only a 25 man vent at this stage and I hope it will be large enough for this event/celebration.

The route we will take will be from Calypso to Arcadia then Rocktropia and finally Next Island before returning to Calypso. We will stop at each Planets Space Port for about one hour before summoning again to continue our journey. This stop over period is to allow those who wish to stay to do so and any who wish to join us to aslo do so if the seating is available. If you choose to remain on any planet please let your Team Leader know.

At each Space Station you will either need to use the Stations Teleporter to go down to the Planet if you wish or fly down in a vehicle. If you are carrying lootables it is strongly advised you use the Space Station Teleporter. We will not be responsible for your lootable/stackables if you shooce to fly down to the planet. Ny using the Station Teleporter you will incurr a 7 ped fee enforced by Mindark. Flying down to a planet will incurr a 2 ped fee also enforced by Mindark. Please keep these two factors in mind.

N.B.
I choose to use the Space Stations to dock at, as I strongly encourage logging if you carry stackables/lootables and the use of the Space Station Teleporters is a 200% guarantee of not losing your gear to Pirates/PVPers once the MS is docked at the station.

Disclaimer: If passengers can not or choose not to use one of the three above metioned options available you will need to log off for a minimum of ten minutes to allow time for the MS Bismarck to safely reach its destination. We are in no way responsible or liable for your stackables/lootables if you do not use these options made available to you for this event/celebration.

Milela "Sakuba" Wilnfe.

EDIT:The above mentioned route will be taken twice to give as many people as possible the opprtunity to join us and experience warp speed and space. Atlas Haven Radio may not be available for the entire day but they will stay with us for as long as feasible.
