Greetings .
Now before i start some people will frown upon the way i do this log , so please be prepared, for negative feedback (but i hope people will realise this is aimed at saving PED in the long term and any Markup gained is just a bonus). This is designed not for a non-depositor or sweater, so every hunting run there is a risk, And using a PED Management Hunting System (PMHS), it means that I run the risk every hunt and so on. Meaning my PMHS is always calculated on worse case returns, so therefore im fully prepared for the maximum losses I get and my PMHS is tailored that way.
The idea of the PMHS is to manage worse case scenarios and adapt your hunting technique in that manner, we do not cover Markup in this log..Ive studied the entropia hunting system for almost 5 years and have risked so much of my own money in learning the PMHS, coming up with a simple , effective way to manage your ped. and ofc this may work mining and crafting, but we may get to that later on. From this 5 year study the end result is not the time you hunt, the mobs you hunt, its the area you work in.

UPDATED 03/08/2012
The system is now finished and fully detailed in this thread the parts are as follows
Experimenting with parts the system - Final Test Phase
Part 1 - Managing Peak Loots
Part 2 - Hunting System Changes to Part 1
Part 3 - Risk Management System Introduction
Part 4 - Testing out Risk Management System on Planet Cyrene
Part 5 - Experimenting with the Risk Management System (ended up being costly)
The Final Product
Part 6 - Block Hunting (Ended up being the best way to use the system efficiently)
* Includes a guide on how the final system works *
Part 7 - Ultilizing the Risk Management System to get the best chance at Loot Return
* Detailed information from over 5 years study of the loot system and the best way to hunt *
I may provide some You Tube videos of the system in action later on, after i log additional runs.
Currently Logging Hunting System - updated 03/08 MA time : 22.12
Experimental -1500PED - Campaign 1 : Finished -19913.15 18367.14 (-1546.01) After 166 Runs
Final Product - 1500PED - Campaign 2 : -10874.72 11021.60 (+146.88) After 133 Runs
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the first time ever im gonna share this information because i believe the correct way to manage hunting is by managing your peak loots (also known minis/globals/hofs). And try to avoid constant average loot runs (without any peak loots). I will be using a few different weapons in this log but always maxed in enhancers and amps.
I am gonna risk my whole EU future on this system because its been in the making since I started theories back in Jan 2008. I may have to deposit / I may not have to (unfortunately this system is ALL based on MAXIMUM RISK). The PMHS system does NOT account for Armor Decay, FAP Decay, Tagger Decay (or with BLP Setup Ammo for Tagger) and I do not use finishers and also Ammo i loot during the run (but i try to seperate those packs so the gun does not use them. If there is tax in the area the PMHS system is adjusted to compensate for that tax in the area. Ok so lets begin (full details as the runs progress wish me luck).
How to hunt using the Ped Management Hunting System (PMHS)
1) Choose an area to hunt (preferably single mobs) eg. Ambulimax - Neas Place
2) Choose your PRIMARY weapon setup (the PMHS only accomodates the primary weapon)
3) Try to Minimize Secondary weapon costs and ammo
4) Work out how much it costs per shot (my cost per shot is 50pec)
FYI : the PMHS ALWAYS rounds up to the nearest PEC.
5) Next thing is determine your Maximum Risk for the run (How much you can afford to lose) ok after basing many factors lately the average loot return is lower than ever
(is this due to CLDs ?, meaning are we paying a hidden tax to fund these deeds)
At this time im basing the Maximum Risk Threshold at 45% return on average loot (without peaks).
With my setup im looking at a 28pec loss per shot ..therefore
My Maximum Risks are as follows (based on the following setup)
0x0F382C8C91E58C8B24DF - Tier IV - Amp A106 - Eco 2.89
Ammo amount 1000shots - 351.50ped ammo - ~500.00ped TT total - cost per kill 50pec a shot
25 PED Risk - 90 shots
50 PED Risk - 180 shots
75 PED Risk - 270 shots
100 PED Risk - 360 shots
150 PED Risk - 540 shots
200 PED Risk - 720 shots
6) Now after ive chosen my risk amount I go out and hunt until the amount of shots I risked are used up.
7) You loot a PEAK , Important advice. The 2nd peak is normally the most important , it can tell you the trend the loot is going whether (up or down) . Hunt with 50% of your TOTAL allocation, from now on with every PEAK until you hit nothing more.
eg.. you hit your 2nd peak with only 320 shots remaining (you have risked 100ped) so instead of having 320 shots remaining you have only 200 shots remaining.
2nd eg.. you hit your 2nd peak with only 80 shots remaining (you have risked 100ped) so instead of having 80 remaining you now have 200 shots remaining
Tip *most times PEAKS occur early in the runs rather later
8) so there are 2 points to ending your run
a) you have PEAKED 2 times or more during the run therefore you run was either extended or finished early. Then you decide what you want to do after.
b) you got no PEAK loots through your entire shot allocation therefore LEAVE the area. before you lose more ped..lol
9) When cashing in at the TT make sure you cash the LOOTED Ammo (not what you bought) and note the TT amount before working out the cost of the run etc.. Otherwise your results will be inaccurate.
Hunting Tips
* Everytime you get a peak loot mark a waypoint on that spot and hunt the rest of your run around it
* Its advisable to leave the area once you reach your maximum risk , to avoid more ped loss.
A new log will follow on the Area Hunted and the returns of using the PMHS
Cheers
ie : I was looking at my post earlier on and it has been simplified due to the loot return is the same calypsowide ..maybe even universe wide.
