As i say before, i voted, but i think "aunt Mindark" figure in first post can do for any people never been in game can wait a different game style.

David, nice of you to actually post in this tread.
For me the problem was not what was on the image, but the fact that it is an images that is old and might have copyright on it and the fact that you (MindArk) was not able to come up with an image yourself that has something to do with Entropia.

I also think that you used an idea from Wollongong about that site and it's top 10 and and not mention anything about his tread.

I would think that with the 6 million you made from selling the land deeds you would have some cash (people and time) to come up with something better.

I've wrote too much in this thread already, at times I got a bit silly, but I really need to say this, its important.

This is our entertainment right? Life is getting too moralistic, can't do this, can't do that...can't say anything in case we might offend in some manner. Look at those getting locked up with just a few silly comments on twitter these days etc.

I see EU as a way to escape from all that crap real life throws at us, lets not make our game like the real world. Or otherwise how far will it go? Boorums will lose their dangle bits again (like before when 1 or 2 out of 1000's complained), short skirts might get removed, body stockings will go....before we know it we will have a boring game, with the minority happy...but most likely they will be the first to have a moan how boring it has become.

Sure we want MA to act responsibly, but at the same time lets allow them some freedom of expression. Let them show their humourous side, lets get some fun back in the place and not be so tied up with morals 100% of the time.

God damn it....lets have some fun in here. Sure every now and then something will be said that will offend, get over it, tomorrow is a new day. Look for things that make you happy, not search out stuff that enhances self misery.

Basically live and let live a little...especially since this is OUR entertainment time.

I'm not saying I vote for this and that, I'm just saying smile at life.

And those that might have complained directly to MA, think about it...come on is it really that serious, was it not just a bit aof fun to lighten the mood in here. You see worse on holiday by the pool, shes wearing clothes.

I give up I think.

Have fun out there, and hof it up

The image doesn't disturb me.. it just doesn't interest me.

It gives me the impression that your target market is young American males... and I don't fit in ANY of those categories.

While young men might be considered the 'standard' audience for sci-fi based MMORPGs, I think you're overlooking the growing market sector that I'll call "Cashed Up Grandma's".
This is 45+ female population, who not only has the time to play now the kids have grown up, but also the RL ped from a lifetime in the workforce to indulge themselves now that they're approaching retirement.
Not all of them want to play Farmville to fill in their days!

Thanks for sticking your head above ground on this topic, especially as your response is only to the small minority. I can only speak for myself in saying that I am not overly offended by the image itself (even though it is awful) I’m more offended by the fact that somebody (you as it turns out) thought it was a good idea.

My major gripe with the whole thing is that it is just effortless tripe that seemed to have had little or no thought put into it at all.

You have an amazing game. Why dress it up in 70’s porn ads? Why not use some of that state of the art equipment and creativity to really convince your clients that they are playing an awesome game and earn that vote?

I want MA to blow my mind not my penis :)

I totally respect your opinion on this. Image doesn't fit this game at all (maybe a Rocktropia ad LOL)
Loss of taming or anything else you enjoyed/invested in is enough to say no to going out of your way to help MA. I'm trying to think of it as a way to help out players. I feel like the game is better than when I started over 2 years ago, and if I kept playing then - why wouldn't someone who starts now continue?
I voted, because hey I play this game every freakin day. I play Lord of the Rings Online, but haven't logged in for weeks. No other MMO game has grabbed me like this. No matter the problems or thinking that MA can and should do more, I have more fun with it than WoW that's for damn sure. I think the time for waiting for the game to be more fixed and less buggy before advertising is over, it's been that way forever.

I for one want to see where the 6 million in land deeds cash is actually going for advertising as promised???:scratch2:

I strongly agree that MA should not be excessively lazy with their advertising! This is Plagiarism!!! And the image is barely even altered, it's quick lazy plagiarism at that!

Is that the image MA wants to be associated with, Lazy Plagiarists?!?!? THAT's what this image you chose screams at the community David Simmonds! Did you think we'd say "OH WOW, BOOBIES! Yep that is absolutely mindboggling that the muppets write prolific notes if they feel they hurt the feeling of 2 jerkoffs who may not have liked some poster, and yet, after ass-raping the taming community for 3+ years without a single sorry or an indication of any thought or future action not a single fucking word...sure makes people want to support that kind of company...

In the interests of full disclosure I did click on the support button, as I would hate the game to totally go away due to stratospheric levels of incompetence across the board:)

After the avatars in underwears, now clothes are invisible.
Remind me, what is the target mindark ?

Ahhhh yes, new accounts made by kids, who think they will do profits too in a free game...

Well if the parents see that picture I'm sure they will add it to parental control... On the other hand dad might join (who will have a larger CC at hand), which might have been Mindark's purpose from the beginning. Cheeky MA, entrapping poor parents with the ads the kids see.
