ahh that fireforge has almost the same dps as a herman 404, just 7 levels less requirements.. exactly the same amount the herman-404 got nerfed.

It appears that there are two categories of balance, one for regular and one for exceptional items. Exceptional items either have a very constrained supply of components or can only be made with limited blueprints. It just happens that everybody with a blueprint that used to make a weapon that is now considered "exceptional" is screwed, And MA get to make extra money due to less people having high QR blueprints they can click.

And of course, only Calypso had enough time to make the new (L) BPs for exceptional guns.
