Ive got a small question for the profession stats, and their accuracy.

Looking at this profession (BLP Sniper Hit) entropedia say I should be at level 61.824854 (doing the math from the skills gathered by the skill scanner).

Now.. Im actually 62.x (likely 62.82)..

Running the same number on BLP pistoleer hit, using the chart's info here:
http://www.entropiawiki.com/Info.aspx?chart=Activity&id=18

That comes up with: 57.956838, im actually 58.9X ...

Should I manually add "1 level" to what Entropedia comes up with?

Here's my numbers
Skill | Level | Influence | Value
Code:
Agility 90.340 3.00	0.0271020000000
Courage 4901.070	3.00	1.4703210000000
Dexterity 4475.360	3.00	1.3426080000000
Perception 4116.190	2.00	0.8232380000000
Serendipity 5172.900	1.00	0.5172900000000
Aim 5097.690	4.00	2.0390760000000
Combat Reflexes 4878.620	3.00	1.4635860000000
Handgun 6607.870	38.00	25.1099060000000
Marksmanship 6907.260	7.00	4.8350820000000
Weapons Handling	5931.690	9.00	5.3385210000000
BLP Weaponry Technology	7517.870	14.00	10.5250180000000
Coolness 4492.340	5.00	2.2461700000000
Combat Sense 4437.840	5.00	2.2189200000000

I think this might be it? Could be wrong though...

Skills involved with the different professions. The percentage in the "skill effect" column is the weight of the skill when all the skill levels are 10000 and the profession level is 100. Attributes have a stronger effect then skills, and need to be mulitiplied by factor 20 when calculating the professional standing.

I put your numbers into jdegres optimizer and it comes up with 58.46

Entropedia gives me rather random levels for every profession, mostly 20-40 levels below what i actually have, when i upload my skills there.
Or did i miss something there while uploading?

Have you uploaded them using JDegre's skill scanner?

As the instructions on his site says:
If you have an account, the exported file will contain profession levels, and totals; otherwise, it will only include the raw skill values

So unless you have an account with JDegre's site, only the skills chart will be updated, not the professions.

Ah, thank you, seem to have missed that, seemed to upload the pro-standings before (some time ago) though without an account.

Did you use NRF in the past ? IIRC, it used to scan professions as well, but that was pre-vu10.

In the past (several years ago) you could upload the raw skill values from jdegres scanner (free version without profession levels) to entropedia, and it would calculate and display your profession levels there automaticly.

When that stopped working is when I donated and got the 'premium' access to jdegres site.

That's too bad... I didn't realize that stopped working.

I haven't compared the calculated pro. level with actual level for a long time but it used to be spot on (that's how the contributions were found in the first place). I'll try checking mine next time i take a skill snapshot.

Yeah, so its about "0.5 level" off... my "progress bar" is about 99% at max for my level.. if it had said 58.8 id be ok with that error margin.. but.. its almost 0.5 off, thats a lot..

Have you tried relogging and rescanning?

I know in the past there have been some oddities/errors in skill/profession levels displayed in game.

If those numbers are from his skill scanner, have you double checked them against your ingame skill chart in case there's been an OCR-type error ?
You could also send screenies of the relevant pages of the skill chart to jdegre to look over, as he's the one that's put in most of the work in resolving the professions calculations.

I'll check the actual values today when I get home from work, and do all the calculations manually using the entropedia influence values. (keeping in mind attributes are factor 20).

Stay tuned.

:)

Right.. it was an error in my importing that made the error... if I had already imported the skills from Entropedia, it would not overwrite some of the values... Adding the 20 multiplier to agility was all I had missed.. Thanks.. :)
