and... I noticed another distinct lack of Hall of Fame posts from miners, lack of logging in the mining forum and a general lack of mining related posting overall... since I last visited.

What the hell is happening to our profession ?
 
HOF have become so regular that noone posts them anymore, unless something very rare or very first hof etc. I used to post every single global here, but now i wont post under 5k ped loots anymore.

About logs, maybe it is summer time?

Absolutely terrible.

5 runs since coming back and all of them coming in 60% tt and 65-70 with MU. The last run I did was with 2x level 3 amps and 222 ore drops and only got 275.76 ped tt. Now the ores were 103ped Niks, 75ped duru and some other bit and bobs. THe only poor ore was 15ped lyst and 25ped azz so the MU was around 40ped.

So that is 5 runs with serious losses

Those are my logs. I have only added the last 2 from my latest 5 runs but you can see how poor the tt returns are in comparison earlier in the year. 55-65% low returns were every so often and these days they are every run.

Is the economy and mining spiralling badly ? and do Mind Ark really think a player will continue to pump money in with these losses ?

Yeah its sucks... well it did until I headed back to Cyrene. Did my first proper mining run there aiming for green crystal and popped a 240 ped hof within the first 10 probes unamped. The run is +260tt before I even sell for markup. Not bad considering it was ages since I hof'd on Calypso, never mind Cyrene.

EVen though its hard to sell on cyrene, the TT returns for both hunting and mining are more respectable than on calypso. The globals are sometimes smaller too but you tend to get more so it evens it out.
