What is best for me to upgrade from Gremlin?

Great stuff! And keep this informative too.
Was just talking about what to do with a desiple of mine, pointed to this thread.

Have you considered martial SGA?
 
Angel. buy mine.:yup: then you can tank Atorx stalkers (eco freak might say you shouldnt, but then some say you should only hunt nakid).

to be honest i didnt think of martial SGA, its a pain to get a whole set together because alot of the time the parts are not for sale and a couple of sets have been broken apart i believe. although i do agree it is a great set and is arguably a better set then angel for approximately the same price range. its a great all around armor for sure.

I went from grem to boar and I am happy with my upgrade. Tie it with a weapon upgrade and hunting most of the mobs you have listed on there is a breeze
 
Jarhead + plates. Pulsar 8 or Pop dragon plates (I use MK2 for the bigger mobs). You can easily hunt spiders with that.

I have a set of Jarhead now, and with 5b spiders are doable.. Would I notice a large difference?

Pulsar 8 plates overall are superior to standard 5b plating. More eco and more protection for your money's worth, definatley worth it over UL plates.

I Use it with .6a on droka and .5b for most other mobs
 
Liakon or paradox . Both are cheaper than jaguar/tiger but offer the same protection. And both also are specialised. Spiders and phasm for paradox. Chompers for liakon. Both can be used to do trax prowler or trox oa.

You mention you hunt rex. A rex ravager does 19 dmg in paradox or liakon /5b. Versus 40 for gremlin /5b. The same thing for spiders young

Are you really going to be be using just one armor?

Allophyls are not a strong mob, for allophyls, unless you want to go for the largest maturities, just get 6B plates and use with some weakish impact armor you already have.

To get a serious benefit on Leviathan, you need to get tiger.

For imp/cut/stab mobs (like Atrox and Araneatrox), Nemesis will give you a 10 point improvement.
