So some of you know i have been talking about loot cycles back in the days, some has said I'm totally clueless and some think I'm right. So since MA changed stuff around with the last hardware upgrade and patch i can show you my tool i have been using for a few years (although not used it enough due to my own mobile games company Triolith Entertainment which made me not able to play a lot). Video of tool is at the end of the post.
So I'll first explain the tool and how it works. In EU there are 3 timers, hour, minute and second.
Red is the most important one as that is the slowest one, but it also gives the smallest bump in loot value but if you hunt long enough in this area you get more minis and they make you break even more easily. This stays in the same area for about an hour it does move but it moves slowly.
Blue is the minute one and second most important, this gives you smaller globals (of course size on glob matter on mob hunted also) as you can see the minute timer moves faster roughly some 15 minutes.
Green is the second timer and is very fast as you can see, and this is the hardest one to "catch" and thus gives you the best boost on the loot.
Now to get the best possible loot you want to be inside all of these at the same time, and hopefully you loot a mob with a good base loot and voila there was your uber.
As for globals outside these timers i don't think i have ever seen one, might have been some eventmobs perhaps. When looking at the chat and tracking the globals and hofs they always end up inside these areas. Although i might not have the exact size of the areas down but it's close enough to work. But sadly MA changed it again so now I'm back to being confused about where the timer is at
But there is more to it than just the timer that affects it but that i wont go into, i need to keep some things for myself
Has this made me rich? Nope but it has improved my chances and keept me able to keep on doing my loot research and given me a few small ubers.
Also i have noticed some quite strong indications that the green skill lines come more often when in the right area. And also certain skills come at certain intervals, for example a certain skill comes when you are outside the green area. So are skills and loot tied to each other, i claim they are, so if you want good loot find the area that gives you the most green lines.
