I've decided to start my own mining log here on PCF. I'll mostly be using level 2 amps with occasional level 5 amps based on markup % with an F-105 Finder. I'll mostly be doing planetside runs on Calypso. I'm starting this log with a 2k ped bankroll.. Wish me luck!

I only mine for ores!

Notes: This run was a victim of poor markup. Markup on Durulium dropped and couldn't find too much Gazzurdite.

Still in the green though!

Notes: XV Durulium, XIV Belkar, XVII Gazzurdite

I think you have me confused with another avatar but I like to rock lvl 2 amps on foma and lvl 5 amps planet side.

The XV melchi came from a random probe drop at jurra during a soc trox hunt.....:laugh: If it were any of the higher markup resources I have been mining this run could have possibly been profitable.

Still not too shabby though!

Notes: The Bad: no globals or hofs in 12 amps.... definitely my worst low swing in all of my mining experience.
The Good: Something very big is headed my way..

After a nice break from the game I'm back with a decent sized log to add!

Unfortunately the results have been less than ideal....

Here's the newest result. I waited to post this to see if cycling some more ped would help my returns but I was wrong.... Resorted to lvl 2 amps for the entire period due to poor markups on resources.

Notes:

After cycling 10k ped with lvl 2 amps (over 7k drops) my returns are still complete shit planetside. The crashing of the resource market on calypso hasn't helped matters any either since my markup average has gone down roughly 5%. I was in the profit (about +800 after markup) range 5 days ago, but since the release of the new chat system and the problems with gold-card members my returns have dramatically fallen.

Going up to foma tonight to gamble away my soul. Either I hit it big or I end up rage-quitting :cool:

Notes: I resisted the urge to go to FOMA after my last posting (glad i didn't go)... so I tried some different spots on caly that were tax free to see if I could even squeeze out a lyst/iron tower. Two small 120 ped hofs.. one of which still resulted in a loss for a 300 ped lvl 2 amp run. Really at a loss of what I can do from here. I'm now roughly 10k drops in without being able to receive above a 75% TT return. Hofs/Globals to balance my losses are non-existent. At this point any suggestions are welcomed!

Might head to ark after auctions free up some ped.. maybe my luck will be better there.

That seems to be the general consensus everywhere at the moment. We could just be in dry spell for mining right now. Resources are having a hard time selling on auction which could have something to do with it as well. Time to take a break and do some hunting until things improve again.

Nice to see a little bit of green for a change, still waiting to stabilize my overall returns at 90%! The switch to the old, old, mining system is kicking my ass using lvl 2 amps, may try to go unamped for a while to hit a tower bringing me back to square 90%!
